Expected a different atmosphere when checking in. At first entering, a distasteful smell filled the lobby. The receptionist looked like she ran from her cleaning job to take over the desk. We will be looking for a different hotel for our return trip.

The hotel was clean but definitely could use to be updated. The bed was very hard and the springs made a sound when I sat down (I am not a large woman). The hook on the bathroom door was unusable as it needed to be properly attached, it was missing a screw. The free breakfast was good.

Noisy mechanical room
Everything was fine except that rm 404 is next to some kind of mechanical room. Every so ofter it would start up quite loudly and run for 20 mins or so. It woke me frequently.

The room size was great. The beds were not comfortable. Breakfast was good. And plenty of variety. But did not have my french vanilla creamer. All other creamers were not used. So maybe invest in creamer guests like. Would stay again, but bringing my own creamer. Staff was awesome.

1. The room temperature controls were not working right. I reserved with Marriot specifically b/c I need this now so didn't look at lower-class places. So room temperature would only be too hot or too cold. 2. Breakfast - this was a poor showing for a chain built on good food initially. Even holiday inn express has a better fare, so I just skipped it and went to McDonalds.
