"Had a great 2 night stay as watching a performance at cathedral great location for walking into city Plenty of restaurants bars shops in easy walking distance Room was spacious and clean Bed comfy Swimming pool small but adequate Changing area for pool could do with refurbishing as very wet all the time but that’s only slight negative "

"My wife and I stayed at the Elms for a one night stay as a birthday treat. The hotel is a beautiful building set in pretty park grounds. There was ample parking. Check-in staff were brilliant! Very friendly and professional. The gentleman helped us carry our luggage to the top floor which could be a bit of a hike for less mobile people or someone who struggles with stairs. The Spa area is very quirky and has everything you need to relax for a few hours. The outdoor jacuzzi is a nice touch. We had a wonderful meal in the Badger Bar and Grill. The quality of the food was amazing and the service was first class! My wife and I were very impressed with how professional and friendly the young serving staff were throughout our 3 course meal. It makes so much difference to have attentive and pleasant staff! breakfast the next morning was also excellent with plenty of choice and a different set of staff who were equally as good as the previous dinner shift. Overall we had a lovely stay and will definitely return."

"The staff friendly nice that it had small bar with a limited drink selection but adequate so could have child drink. Breakfast selection was good would probably use again as we go to Scotland from Devon a couple times a year so nice stop before getting on the m6"
