Family of 5 with 1 teenager
We came to the hotel early but was allowed to leave the baggage until check-in time. The check-in was fast. We were also offered towels to dry ourselves as we were wet from the rain. Although the furniture of the hotel was rather dated (would be nice to have a refresh) ,the rooms are extremely clean. The shower do tend to fluctuate from cold and hot. Overall, I have to say it’s comfortable just don’t expect any frills and for those family with young children, be prepared to see some night life around the area.

We stayed in the annex. Room was large and spacious for our family of four. Family Mart right next to entrance and several close 711 stores made it convientient to grab needed items. Several metro lines within a four block radius. Walking distance from Ameyoko Shopping Street. Enjoyed being a block away from the Ueno Park gate. Furniture was dated. With location and size of the room we would be repeat visitors.

Very convenient location easy access to bus/subway. Clean and comfortable bedding. Very nice and helpful staff. The room is pretty small for three adults. Overall is good stay.

The hotel was recommended for its convenience which it is. However, we have our daughter with us and there are many girls clubs around the corner. We could avoid this by taking a different route. The staff were kind and friendly and its close to many restaurants and shops. The train station was not more than a 15 walk.

Staff friendly. Hotel quite dated in areas and nothing like the photos shown. Located close to market and transport, only downside is that it Isabel adjacent to red light district. Rooms tiny but not uncommon for Tokyo. You get what you pay for and at this price point suitable for travellers on a budget who want to be close to the action.

The property is run down, peeling wallpaper in halls and stained carpets. Rooms are surprisingly small. Wifi dud not work consistently. Nice towels and friendly staff. Wonderful cherry blossoms in Ueno Park so close by.

We had stayed at Centurion in Ameyokocho many times and loved it. We were shocked to find that this time we were at a sister property near Shinobazu pond. Be aware when you book that there is a sister property. It is a noisy area during the night and early morning. Did not feel safe at night.
