"Staff very friendly. It was very clean for a Tallahassee, hotel at the good price of under $100 per night. It was no frills. There were no dressers in the rooms. Clean sheets and comfy pillows and bed, clean shower and bathroom except for a few hairs on the ground and on a towel. Nothing fancy, but I was very happy because it was clean and I could afford it without stress. I loved that they had quiet hours between 10 PM and 7 AM."

"In terms of being immersed in nature, this is a great place to stay! The owls were amazing as were the consistent views of shore birds flying up and down the river. The screened in porch was a phenomenal area to spend time when raining, buggy or too hot out. We stayed cool, dry and bug free within it. Floyd's comical information binder was incredibly helpful. The proximity to St. Mark's allowed us tons of biking opportunities. The extras, like toilet paper, shampoo, lotions, etc were generous and appreciated. Despite its small size, the set up in the house we found very functional. One of the couches has sprung a spring so was uncomfortable but there is a second couch. Overall, we would definitely return."

"I had a terrific stay at the lodge. My room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and it was so nice to walk around after dinner. Meals at the restaurant were delicious. And best of all was the boat ride to see the wildlife along the river."
