Disappointment
After 30mins we decided that this was not as advertised. Cigarette burns on linen and covers, stained walls and doors, very strong odor of bleach which gaveus headaches, insects visible, tv didn't work, you could literally see outside because of cracks around ac unit. No choice but to ask for refund!!!!!!

Never again
Room smelled of old cigarette smoke and overwhelming. People still outside at 11pm with loud music. Virtual checkin down when we arrived and had to wait 45 mins to check in just to be told if we changed rooms they would have to "upgrade me"- we cancelled the same day and went elsewhere.

The receptionist is excellent. It's an older hotel but seems clean and well maintained. The WiFi is fast.

At check in we had to talk to a lady in a box. After we got our room keys one didnt work which was fine because we had a second one but on the second night after coming back from the gator game neither keys worked so we had to go talk to the lady in the box again and it was unpleasant because of their room keys not working on their default and them being out of room keys we were offered a bracelet and given 10 min to go to our room and unlock the door and return the bracelet or we were going to get charged an extra $150. That is ridiculous in my book, it wasnt our fault the room keys didnt work so why are you going to take an additional $150?? On top of that now we are restricted to our room and unable to go get food or leave for anything. Unacceptable!!!

Steer clear of Starke, FL AND Motel 6. Go around
You dont even want to know about the body hair in the sheets or the stains. I have never had to switch rooms before in my life, but I did this time. Got to my new room and the tv box was missing the hdmi cord, so had to deal with that and the floor was so slick, like they pledged it. Almost bit the dust everytime I walked thru the room. I will never ever drive thru that garbage town or stay at a motel 6. Ever

Our room was not clean, the bedding had holes in it and other people’s hair on the pillow case, hair in the tub, the tv did not work, the room smelled bad, the smoke detector was disconnected and sitting on the microwave, and there was no light in the bathroom. The staff were nice but I will never stay here again.

The room had holes in the wall. The sink and around the sink had long cracks in it. There was no hot water in the shower and mold. The bed spread had holes in it. We stayed for 2 nights and they didn't clean the room. We had to go to the front desk on 2nd night to get more towels. Would not recommend. Don't know if I will use online booking again. The pictures didn't look like it did when we got there

This was simply a place to sleep - mission accomplished. Rooms were hard to come by due to a UF football game nearby.
