The first opinion is important. It was obvious the young lady at the desk did not want to be here. She asked for ID and credit card, no smile, said nothing, laid the key pack on the counter. …. We were inconveniencing her with our presence. Hotel is older but well maintained and clean.

Be aware that room entry is direct from outside, not an inside hallway. Parking lot noises all night. Incredibly loud air conditioner. Basic room. Very good breakfast for this type of hotel.

Good driving trip
We drove through Globe a few years ago and were not impressed. This time, we stayed at a great hotel, sipped wine at a local winery and had an excellent Italian meal. The drive through the Salt River Canyon this morning was spectacular.
