I would clearly state what the breakfast availability is. Also, loading luggage to room is difficult due to steps. Give a map with directions.

A lot of series of events Smoke Alarm beeping we took it off the wall, one bed the frame was broke so you slept on the matress the was shaky, wrappers behind the nightstand. Last morning there we were woken with 4 or 5 calls from the front desk asking us if we dialed 911. We did not, but their phone sysytem kept ringing our phone. The steps to the parking lot were loose almost fell the way they were. The hotel needs some renovations and fixing.

This is where I always stay when I visit IUP. It’s a unique hotel with the giant courtyard in the middle. The bar is a great place to unwind at the end of the night. Sometimes they even have a band! Rooms are clean and beds are super comfy!

I liked the internal courtyard. The live music and set up was cool, but the room left a lot to be desired. It smelled musty, and the shower would not drain the water. There was also only one easily accessible outlet and none near the bed or night stands. For one night, it was fine, but I probably will not be returning.

Lisa, the desk clerk, was wonderful. Despite no maintenance staff on the weekend, she had lights replaced over the bathroom sink. Started off with a tepid shower which became scalding after 5 minutes of run time. Not sure why it should take 5 minutes to get hot water.

The room was quiet and the pool and exercise area were nice. Some parts of the hotel seemed to be a bit outdated. The staff were very helpful as well but I think maybe understaffed. As a non-drinker, I did not have an option for something to drink at the bar after I got in around 7pm.

Overall our stay was nice. The staff was excellent, the property outside was very rundown and looked outdated. Inside was clean but the pool smell was very overwhelming. Very hot and humid in courtyard area from the pool. The room was clean, just loud because of the pool area being all open.

The room, location, and check in/out was great, however, from the outside looking in the place is in shambles. Overflowing garbage bins outside entrance and super sketchy door to room - very difficult to close. Parking lot is full of pot holes and overall appearance is bad.
