Was so much more than i anticipated! Just a hidden gem in an otherwise unremarkable area. It is close to RR tracks but it didn’t bother us at all. We ate at the restaurant and food was very good. We walked to water and around area. Band on patio next door was good and sunset over Rainy Lake is always fantastic on a clear evening. Will definitely return when in the area!

Didn't like the unprofessional gal that was at the desk during my check out. Teach them how to interact with customers instead of letting them just stand there waiting for a head nod or acknowledgment that they exist. Improve on this as I have seen other reviews with dissatisfactory staff issues. Also, if someone is coming down the hallway, maybe the maid staff could move their cart as a courtesy. Again, issue with who you are hiring as staff to represent the impression of your hotel.

This was such a gem to find in such a beautiful town. The food and bar inside the hotel is great and serve whiskey and gin distilled onsite!

Very unique hotel. The active train depot across the street did up the level of noise, but in a good way since it brought back sounds of my childhood. The room had a tub with a curtain instead of a shower. Regular showers were available down the hall. No microwave in the room, but there was a common use microwave in the common area which then also had coffee in the morning. It was nice not having the microwave in the room so we didn't have to suffer the smell of heated food well past consumption. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the drinks were wonderful especially as they were made of the products of the onsite distillery. There is also a yoga studio with free weights and cork mats provided. The roof top had chairs and a wonderful view of the lake one block away.

Who builds a hotel next to very busy train tracks? Old fashioned tubs are very nice looking but impractical for seniors (68 & 57).

An amazing hidden gem in Ranier!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! If you are visiting Voyageurs National Park this is THE place to stay. It is a hidden unexpected gem in the tiny town of Ranier right down the road from International Falls. The rooms are incredible, the amenities are amazing (rooftop sauna and hot tub with a shower), restaurant is awesome as is the distillery with incredible cocktails. Huge shoutout to the amazing staff - in particular Madison and Aubrey! Love love love this place!!

Boutique hotel near Voyageurs NP.
This was a one night stop over on way to Voyageurs NP. Hotel was such a wonderful amazing surprise. Architecturally the building is interesting. The lobby/bar is open and inviting. Rooms are big, spacious and comfortable. Shower was big with molton brown products. There is a third floor patio, hot tub and relaxing space. Even though is a distillery is very family friendly. Staff were so kind.

Great property with a distillery and restaurant. Unique set up. Only issue is that property is adjacent to railroad tracks that had several long trains pass during evening and over night.
