"The room I booked was not ready/clean when I arrived around 10pm and the hotel worker provided me with a free room upgrade. He could have just cleaned it quickly and still put me in the room; so I appreciate the honesty. Larkspur isn’t the fanciest hotel but the customer service is always pretty good. "

"Some of the prior reviews made me hesitant to book but I am glad I did. The front desk staff were so great and helpful. Addressing some reviews, yes they allow pets, yes the bathrooms were clean, yes the beds have a metal box spring and the mattress isn't superior but it was clean and comfortable, the TV (plural there were 2) worked, I paid an additional 10 bucks for two queens with a wet bar and the room set up had the wet bar counter between the beds which was a nice feature and afforded a little bit of privacy. The breakfast bar was clean and well stocked, and the fresh fruit was truly fresh. I did overhear someone complaining that the chair in their room was broken, it was a little unreasonable to complain after 11 pm at night after maintenance has left for the day. Don't hesitate about the bad reviews, communicate timely with front desk, they are super good. A reasonable car/Uber ride to Thunder Valley.This room was a good value and we were happy with it."

"We stayed in 19 different hotels over the last 5 months while waiting for completion of a new home. This was our favorite. We stayed here 3 times for a total of about 50 days. The staff is excellent, the facilities are clean and well maintained. The location is convenient to dining and shopping and parking is free (unlike another extended stay hotel nearby). "
