"The resort is beautiful on the ocean. The staff are fantastic and friendly. Originally we booked a “resort view” which was actually a parking lot view. Very disappointing. We talked to the staff and they confirmed that resort view is a view of the parking lot. We upgraded to an ocean view and couldn’t be happier. I only wish it was clear when booking what we were getting when we reserved a “resort view”. "

"We found The Big Island Rereat to be just as good as the pictures! It was easy to find right off Ali'i drive. Check in and out were both very easy. We stayed in the Ocean View room which was just as advertised. There is no AC which is in the room description so there was no surprise. Ceiling fan and to other larger standing fans kept the air moving through the room. There is a common area which has beach chairs to use and some snorkel gear and boogie boards as well and an outdoor kitchen with 2 BBQs and full sized fridge for anyone there can use The only challenge on the property was the parking. There is enough parking for the rooms, it's just a little tight especially if you wnat to back-in. I would suggest Not renting a large SUV. Overall the facility worked out perfecly for our vacation."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was a huge hit and had an exceptional view of the ocean across the road. The suite was clean and comfortable and the check in/check out process was super simple. "

"My wife and some friends just returned from two weeks here.The unit was conveniently located right off of Ali’i Boulevard. It was about a mile from the KTA grocery store, about 100 yards from Kahalu’u Beach Park, and just down the street from the Magic sands Beach Park.The unit was very clean. The hosts communications were accurate and timely.The unit was very well equipped with about everything you need, including soaps, shampoos, and conditioner.The unit was well equipped with many disposables such as trash bags, dishwasher detergent, and spices.It was also equipped with beach chairs, a beach, umbrella, snorkel gear, and coolers.The washer and dryer were huge.The views from the rental were pretty decent and the views of the ocean from the pool were very, very good.We all agreed that this was a great place and would have no problem staying here again. "
