Had a great experience overall. The beachfront location is its best feature. Hapuna beach is the best beach on that island. Aside from that it’s a bit isolated from everything else. Service was good, friendly and helpful staff. We were very happy with our room, premium oceanfront which they upgraded us to since it was our anniversary, with a complementary champagne bottle. Sunset views are amazing, which we enjoyed from our room, the infinity pool, or the beach, it made for a very relaxing stay. Loved the on-site cafe also, the poolside restaurant was sub-par, good only for drinks really, but their dinner restaurant was nice.

Overall, I really liked this hotel. It’s very well located, a beautiful property, and the service is very pleasant. Perhaps due to the time we visited (September), it felt a bit deserted, lacking atmosphere. The restaurants were fairly average, and by 10 PM, there wasn’t much to do. We also found it quite expensive, though this seems to be the norm in Hawaii.

This property is gorgeous. My wife and i celebrated our 20th anniversary and chose the westin. Their beach was one of the best on the island. Great pool, super friendly staff. Loved the breakfast buffet.

If you have trouble walking avoid this place like the plague. The hotel itself is strung out on a long line and if you draw a room at the far end you will have an extremely long walk to get back and forth to the only elevators which are all clustered around the central lobby. After that you now have an extraordinarily long walk to get down to the ocean. Even walking to the pools is difficult. They really have not made any accommodations for people who have difficulty with stairs or long walks. And I'm not sure that it's even possible given the way they've built the place. So even though it's lovely, I won't be able to come again because my bad knee is just won't allow it. The food is mediocre at the pool. The very responsive manager of that venue tried to make it right for me. Of course costs are astronomical everywhere in Hawaii and this is no different. Room service was not bad. Breakfast buffet was fair with the usual choices. By the way, don't show up early. They really mean 4pm. The main pool is nice and large so you don't feel crowded. Too bad some dodo brain designer put giant fake rocks around the pool. They are arranged to perfectly block views of the ocean from both pool and spa. Overall not worth the cost because of the challenges, but others may like it better.

The Westin Hapuna beach was a beautiful clean property with great customer service. There were so many great staff throughout the resort I regret not getting more names. However, Donna at the Meridia restaurant was so welcoming and friendly on our first night. She gave us great suggestions for things to do and even offered to take our picture. Donna helped set the tone for the rest of our trip!

The staff were amazing! Miss Ginger, Front desk Miss Luana. The entire staff were so accommodating and always smiling. We had a blast in spite of the storm. Beautiful hotel and very clean.

Absolutely incredible hotel. It took our breath away from the moment we walked in and saw the vista from the lobby. The staff could not have been better, upgrading us to the executive suit and giving us a complimentary bottle of champagne for my birthday. The beach / pool / grounds were top notch and the room was perfect. Can't wait to come back.
