Hard to sleep in!
The curtains in the room let in so much light around the edges because of being improperly installed. Also, the alarm clock goes off at 6am with no way to unplug it. The phone in our room didn’t even work. We thought this was a high end hotel, looks like we will be booking somewhere else next time.

Over the years, we have stayed regularly at the Hyatt, and this property felt a bit short of our expectations. It felt more like an average hotel - in particular the lobby & dining area. The menu needs to have more healthy alternatives, and smaller portions.

It's hard to believe that this is a Hyatt. The rooms are sparse and non-descript, as is the lobby. We were hoping to have a nice dinner at the hotel, but the only restaurant in the hotel reminded me of a Motel 8. But they do charge prices that you'd expect in a nice restaurant! $14 for a beer, $60 steaks, $38 for breakfast! If I'm going to pay those prices, I expect a little ambiance! In the morning we went to make coffee in the room and... no cups of any kind! After waiting a half hour for housekeeping to bring some, we gave up and paid $5 for coffee in the restaurant. Oh, and they're doing construction in the lobby so you get to listen to that while you eat. When we checked out they didn't even ask how our stay was. There are much nicer hotels around LAX. I would avoid this one.
