Lovely, rustic, peaceful
Never felt so peaceful at a hotel.. the view was tranquil and lovely, I could hear the waterfall from my balcony. The food at the restaurant was just ok, but the room and amenities were great. Would stay again, clean lovely room, slept like a baby.

What a great experience at Coolfont Resort! The staff was really great-helpful and friendly. The cabin was perfect for us. The only thing missing was a coffee cup. Just a mention...there is a lot of "empty space" in the cabin. It looks exactly like the pictures, had everything it said but I wonder if there would be room for a small couch or sitting chair and/or storage in the bathroom. Its spacious, clean, neat and comfortable the way it is but having just a little more might be great!

I really enjoyed the natural environment and the cozy comfortable vibe. Very beautiful area and the cabin was spacious. Staff was nice. Loved being in nature but not secluded if something were to come up.

Great cabin in the woods
Beautiful location, super friendly service. The cabin was very clean- not luxurious, but very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional staff! They really make you feel warm and welcome. Berkeley Springs has so many beautiful things to offer and the resort does great highlighting everything it offers. The restaurant attached to the restaurant is incredible, great food and service. The bartender knows how to whip up a drink and will tell you the best stories. This place is worth it.

Hidden retreat
The property is gorgeous and very secluded yet just a few minutes outside of the town. Reception was very nice with a very nice, reasonably priced gift store and ice cream and candy! Our room was extremely pleasant with a sitting area and separate bedroom with a super comfy bed. The suite also had TWO bathrooms! The view from every window was great, overlooking a lake. They have a very excellent restaurant with inside or outside dining and the home cooked food is tasty and generous. Didn't have room for the awesome shareable dessert! We were only there one night but will definitely go back again!

We were looking for a short drive long weekend destination to celebrate our engagement this September and wanted somewhere where we could stay at the resort/hotel/cabins t or around the resort grounds for most of the long weekend, looking for somewhere that had a restaurant that served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, had activities on the grounds, and a pool and was less than a four hour drive from our location north of Pittsburgh. Coolfont definitely looked to fit the bill, advertising many outdoor activities and extensive grounds to walk around and enjoy. Here is a list of pros and cons we found during our long weekend stay September 27-29. Pros: Check In and Restaurant staff were great. Friendly but not overly so, helpful, and enjoyable. The waitress we had for our celebratory dinner on Friday night was especially nice and made our dinner special. We stay in the cabins and they were a nice surprise. We had a deluxe cabin for the two of us, but four more people could have easily stayed with us. The stairs needed to be swept, had a lot of dog hair, and the drain of the whirlpool tub off the master suite was filled with hair, but other than that the cabin was very clean and very comfortable. We heard people complaining that the salt water swimming pool was too cold, but we found it refreshing. I thought having it indoors was nice because it's a great activity for the colder months too. The area of Berkeley Springs is great. We loved the Berkeley Springs Park and the free

This was a last min weekend getaway, an I absolutely LOVED it the price was reasonable for a last min holiday weekend, very clean, very friendly, the area was quite a peaceful. The town was only 7mins away from the resort were you could shop an eat, as well as seen the history of the town Berkeley springs very beautiful. Would definitely be visiting again.
