The best thing about this property was the friendliness of the employees. Everyone that we encountered at the front desk was incredibly friendly, if it weren’t for them, this review wouldn’t be balanced. The room was questionable and we contemplated leaving. The sheets, all the way down to the mattress pads had rips and stains. It was obvious that everything had been washed, but the point of white bedding is to toss it once it no longer looks nice and fresh. No one wants to go to a public location and see rips and stains on items for public use. There was lotion that looked like it had been squirted on the window curtain. The bathroom was out of body wash in the dispenser. The bedroom carpet also needs a good deep clean.

We've stayed at this Best Western 4 or 5 times over the past few years. It has a nice "vibe", is very clean and the staff is friendly. In particular we'd like to salute the Breakfast Lady who does such a great job hosting the continental breakfast which is a cut above the rest. We hope to be back next summer.

We enjoyed our stay here. The lady at the reception was very nice, friendly and professional. The room was clean with great mattress. Breakfast was good too. This is perfect for one or two nights stay at Pawleys Island.

The uniqueness of Best Western was its location and cleansiness. What I was most uncomfortable with was the height of the bed. It was not designed for people who are short. It was very difficult getting into and out of bed. Secondly, the remote for tvs didn't work well. Otherwise, things were great and I would use Best Western again!

This is a great place to stay when visiting the area. The staff could not be nicer and they have the best breakfast for free. Fresh made scrambled eggs, sausage, and then waffles, of course. It’s less than 15 minutes to Murrells Inlet.

The hotel was sold out so when our toilet wouldn’t work, we couldn’t move rooms. We asked for a plunger and the lady told us to be sure and bring it back since others will need it - not a good sign. The plunger didn’t fix the problem. It was so disgusting and sickening. We were forced to use the lobby toilet. When I asked for some money back, they told me that since I booked through a third party, they couldn’t do anything for me. She said she would give my number to the manager to discuss options with me. No call. Stay away from Room 224.

Shampoo dispenser empty and hairs in shower on arrival. No conditioner provided. Pillows were thin but made up for it by using a bunch of them. TV remote button labels were faded. Nice staff preparing breakfast though. AC worked well. Overall I’d stay somewhere else next time for the price but if I had no options, I’d stay again.

The interior of the hotel is pretty rough. We have a 4” gap between the room floor and the bathroom door. The bathroom door is also pretty beat up looking with a lot of patch and repair work going on. The bed linens were clean and fresh, the water was hot. Basically all we need before hitting the road. This locations saving grace is the adorable Miss Clarice (sp) as the breakfast attendant. She greeted and me and asked how I slept. She checked on my kids and I as we ate. Food was good, breakfast room was nice and coffee was fresh. The hotel shows its age if you look for it, but it’ll do if you just need a place to shower and lay your head.
