We stayed there twice while traveling to and from the east coast this week the first experience on the way out to east coast was great, friendly knowledgeable staff, clean room. The first stay was the reason we decided to stay on the way back home. Not the same experience, the gentleman that checked us in already had us checked in, did not ask us for a credit card for incidentals, did not have a clue how to charge for anything in the sundry shop, which we needed as there was not a Walmart or other store close. The hot water in our room did not work and the guy at the desk offered no solution only to tell that this was not the first time that evening her received the complaint. After check out we got a call about the purchases we made at the shop, we had a room charge on our room with no credit card. My husband wanted to pay cash but the guy claimed to not know how to do that. The hotel is clean, we wanted to use the pool, it was not operational. Not a horrible experience but not a great consistent experience.

Shower in handicap accessible room needs addressed
Hotel was modern, new and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. However, the shower flooded the bathroom, and the shower handle meant to be used for handicap seat was way too high, impossible to reach, and the water sprayed against the wall making it hard to get under it.

It was appealing inside and well decorated. However, there were unattended children in the hallways, very noisy, at 2:30 a.m. who I had to call staff regarding. Also, patrons were barefooted in the continental breakfast area.

The hotel has upgraded itself in the past year or two. We really enjoyed our stay this year. The breakfast is very good, which is important, as New Concord has limited dining opportunities.

Very nice staff. They are under staffed for a fairly large hotel. Some “cheap fixes”, like the shower head in our room. We’ve stayed here for years and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable.
