This hotel was a wonderful choice. The lobby was comfortable to lounge in, and there was a shop to pick up snacks as well as a nice and spacious bar to have a drink and relax with friends. The location was convenient to many restaurants, Grand Central Terminal, the Morgan Library, and the promenade along the East River. The staff was always avaliable, helpful and friendly.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Decor is beautiful. Loved the historic design. Hotel was spotless. Marketplace was very convenient. They had kosher yogurt, muffins, and cereal available for breakfast and the bar served Starbucks coffee. It was a very special stay for my husband and I.

Gorgeous historic hotel in the neighborhood where I lived for 20 years. Loved being back here. As a whole, staff members were friendly and effective. Only a couple of instance of a few standing in a group socializing with each other instead of serving guests. Shower had not been cleaned when I got there, as globs of dark hair that wasn't mine (blond and gray) were on the wall. No big deal. I cleaned it and had housekeeping come in the next day. As for the shower, the diverter valve did not work well, so the hotel wastes A LOT of water with every use. Overall, pretty happy with my three-day stay. Expensive, but mostly worth it.

Amazing views. Convenient location walkable to grand central even with young kids. Dinner/breakfast/lunch options all around. Great parks. Beautiful area in general had me wanting to move there. We stayed for six nights in August. The Westgate New York Grand Central is a lovely hotel. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The rooms were very spacious for New York standards and very quiet allowing for a good night's sleep. The location is amazing and great for tourists. A short walk to Grand Central Station so you can get anywhere in the city easily. Also very walkable from many key locations in the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful. The only thing I had a problem with was the resort fee we were charged. It was not resort. There were no other amenities besides the room we stayed in.

Overall had a great experience here! Pros: - The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we got there. The housekeepers were very friendly and did a great job tidying up our room! - The tavern in the lobby is very cool and has a large drink menu - Hotel in general was very updated and clean Con’s: - The tavern in the lobby only sells drinks, not food, but you can still get snacks from the hotel market - About a 7-10 minute walk from the subway - Not as centrally located to things as I thought it was - Was charged a $120 resort fee for our 3 night stay (this could have been my fault for not realizing that there was a resort fee when we booked our stay) - Walls are very thin, we could hear conversations of our neighbor
