Hotel staff contact was minimal but enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent! The breakfast meal attendant was also very helpful and outstanding. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The one and only frustration was the COLD pool and COLD inoperable hot tub. After a long day of travel we looked forward to the tub and pool. We checked in and front desk explained the location for breakfast and pool/hot tub location. Nothing was said that they were not working. We jumped in our suits and went to the pool and tub. EXTREMELY frustrated that they where both ice cold and hot tub inoperative.

We were crabbing in Newport and the La Quinta is a beautiful hotel close to the bay. It was so convenient for us with ample parking for our boat. The gentleman who worked the front desk when we arrived, I think his name is Peter, was wonderful! He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and so energetic! His positivity was infectious! The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had such a relaxing stay. The breakfast was lovely and one of the cleanest and best set ups that I have seen at a hotel. The woman who worked that area greeted every guest and made the breakfast area so inviting. We will definitely be back.

We make this trip each year solely for the hot tub, but it was down for our two night stay. We booked a Hotel in Salem for the third night with a working hot tub and pool.

Room was not that clean. I think they forgot to vacuum. Fridge in our room didn’t work so they gave us another room. It also hadn’t been vacuumed. Breakfast food was not good. Front desk staff in the evening was great!

Generally we got what we expected. It included breakfast and a pool which our kids loved. We had one problem, when the A/C would cycle off, there would be a loud dripping/thumping sound, much too loud to be just a drip. We could not sleep with this going on. It was room 214.
