They had one of the pools closed, no reason, just wouldn't unlock it. Enough people complained, so they finally opened it up but not before the front desk was rude when telling us they have more than one pool. It said they would do a light cleaning every day to restock toilet paper, towels and wash cloths as well as take out trash, then do a full clean on day four. We had to request towels and washcloths, hours later we had to call again because we never got them. When they finally came, they beat on the door and basically threw the bag at us, no washcloths. We stayed Monday-Saturday and not once did they come to do any cleaning. We could hear them going to.other rooms, but not ours. We did have a dog with us, but a simple knock to see if we needed anything would have sufficed. We had a broom without a dust pan to keep the sand up with. Our shower would not drain, and the toilet was struggling to flush. The mattress on the bunk bed was terrible. We stayed here a few years back and did not have these problems. 10/10 dont recommend. Wouldn't give any stars if it wasn't required.

The property description is a bit misleading. I thought I had booked the resort next door due to similarity in name and was extremely disappointed when I realized that was not the case. I also booked a room with a balcony and gulf view. Turns out the balcony is the front of the room at the entrance and is the only access to the room. It overlooks the parking lot. My gulf view was through an old window. Outside and next door noise was very loud. Access to beach was only positive, however there is not adequate lighting to feel safe while walking back to the room after dark. Very disappointed and will not book again.

the hotel was absolutely disgusting the staff was not friendly it was like they were annoyed that my family was there we stayed one night and left we did not even get under the blankets because we were afraid to the toilet would not flush and was only attached to the wall not even attached to the floor overall horrible experience we will NEVER be back

Check in was horrible..will not do that again.. after arriving a little early and doing precheck in, i was told that the check in time would be BETWEEN 4PM AND 6PM!!! Never was it advertised that check in could be not until 6pm.. i assure you the you wouldnt have a 2 hour window for check out!! Restaurant and bar was closed, hotel stated wasnt enough people to have it open but yet the hotel was packed..

Really enjoyed
My family really enjoyed ourselves during our stay. From check-in to check-out the hotel staff was super friendly. Resort grounds were well kept and both pools were kept clean even with high winds. Our rooms were clean and we never had to ask for anything. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Boardwalk Beach Resort for a wonderful stay.

I’ve been to this property two other times before. But this visit was very unpleasant. When we first walked in, there was a very large cockroach in the entryway. I was willing to overlook that because it’s Florida and we’re on the beach but this morning when I woke up, there was a very large bug under my covers in my BED. It very much grossed me out and I packed all of our stuff and we left right then. I complained to the girls at the front desk but I know there’s very little they can do. And of course the managers don’t come in until 10 AM. Also, our door never shut properly. You would have to shut it and then reshut it because it looks like at some point the door frame had been broken. They had tried to put something over it to fix it and extra screws but you could tell it looks like the door has been damaged. The concrete steps leading up to the other floors were very dirty and it looks like they’ve never really been pressure washed or cleaned. Also, the floors in our room were very dirty. I really wish I would’ve brought some cleaning supplies from home so I could clean the floors. Neither my husband or myself would walk barefoot in our room. I do like that the hotel is right on the beach and dog friendly. That is nice however I just paid $350 for two nights and it was not a very comfortable experience at all.

The property knows but we had mold all over our covers and walls. I took pictures. I love the area and staying there but it’s just not safe for my kid and one kid got sick we left a little early and booked a different hotel for spring break

Nice hotel on the beach
I evacuated with my family for Hurricane Milton. This was the one hotel that had a single room with 3 beds (bunk beds make 4 beds). The room was a very nice size and looked directly onto the beach. The hotel could use updating, as there were rust stains on the ceiling of the tub area. The layout was very weird, as you had to step into the bathroom to get in the room, as the entryway was very narrow. The room also took a while to cool down upon arrival, but the ac unit did cool, just not enough to my personal liking as the room was so large.
