Wonderful

The Inn is surrounded by natural beauty, and its distinctly unique character comes into view as you make your way up a narrow roadway. It is gently nestled a short distance above a quiet stretch of the Saint John River. As you first walk through the arched doorway, you are greeted by a winding staircase to the right and a closed in hallway to the left that feels somewhat unfamiliar at first. However, as you slowly meander your way through its halls and openings, you will quickly find yourself taken along for the ride in its warmth and welcoming charm, and soon not wanting to leave. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay, but if it were open I’m sure it would only make the experience that much more special. It is also priced very fairly with lots of room for a family of 4. If our travels bring us back to this part of New Brunswick, we will certainly be looking to stay here again!
What a gem! This old cozy inn is a place I wish I could live. Impeccably clean, comfortable, wonderful helpful staff, clean luxurious pool & hot tub, & 5 star breakfast! Thank you!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Unfortunately the dining room was under renovation and was not open for dinner or breakfast which was very disappointing as that was the reason we booked based on reviews. Property is quirky in design. Room was comfortable.
Interesting place to stay. Food was very good, the coffee was incredible. Room was quite lovely, warm, comfortable with all mod cons. Only real issue was the strong scent of a plug in air freshener. I removed it from the socket and opened the patio door and it was fine after. Noticed slight musty smell in the bathroom, but the property is old so it wasn’t surprising. Would rather old building smell than perfume. Everything else very clean with fresh thick linens. Couldn’t use jets in spa tub because it was very loud, but bath was fine without.
We received very clear e-mail directions and details for self check-in. The castle-like inn sits on a hill above the town. It's secluded and quiet. When we arrived, a staff member was still on site.
She was very pleasant and gave us a quick tour before leaving. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and quite comfortable. We enjoyed the facilities: we strolled the grounds and gardens, used the pool, hot tub and steam room, and meandered the halls of the inn. The experience here is very spa like and with onlly a few rooms, very private. We saw one guest during the afternoon/evening of our check-in. We saw several others in the morning. The included breakfast was a full service, chef prepared meal. And, it was delicious! We will definitely stay here again, but for a longer time. One night is not enough.
Interesting property with quirky artwork and a country house feel. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast

The Hidden Treasure
What a magical place!!! The grounds and building are just beautiful! Staff persons were friendly and attentive. The lady who checked us in gave us a tour, offered to help with luggage and made our dinner reservations. Nice pool area, hot tub in the garden, walking paths and beautiful gardens. There are treasures from around the world scattered about. We were in awe. The FOOD was beyond delicious for both dinner and breakfast. This was a 10-star stay. The only negative we could find was our third floor room was HOT. We had A/C on full blast and still hot hot. Opened a window finally. That would not keep us from recommending this incredible find to anyone/everyone. We are so glad we tried somewhere new and found this gem!!!
Our room was very close to the breakfast dining room but this was the only complaint! The staff were very warm, friendly and attentive.

Okay place
Nice hotel for a romantic getaway (we were there for a ball tournament so not as compatible). Front entrance smells very musty and you never see any staff around! No screen in the windows. Towels and garbage not changed during our 2 night stay. Pool is very cold.
