This is a typical resort experience. Lots of restaurants. Staff could have better customer service and friendlier. It rained a lot during my time there. I unfortunately got traveller’s diarrhea. It was good overall.

We had a great time with kids. The staff was friendly. All the restaurants had great food options. We ate almost at all the restaurants. We received an upgrade with sea/pool side views. The water park was very nice and the poool the kids enjoyed. They do activities near the pool so the kids had a good time. We loved our stay at Lopesan

Really a great experience overall. The staff is attentive and welcoming. Also the fact that they have a small casino, beautiful gym and a theater where they perform shows is awesome. Only opportunities I saw here were the divisions of bracelets. We had to pay extra for an adult bracelet but never saw that as an option prior to booking, so we had to pay extra for the day to use it. The adult bracelet allows you access to the adult swimming pool and bar. Also when getting the bracelet I’m not sure if the person dealing with is was training but he made the experience highly unenjoyable as he took maybe 15 minutes to process information, it was to the point where someone had to intervene and said give them their passes and figure out the rest after so they can enjoy their time. I won’t drop that front desk agents name. Also if you decide to relax on the beach prepare to be heckled by individuals who want you to take a photo with their parrot, use their boat or sell you weed. Other than that this hotel is absolutely beautiful. 4.5 stars

Bad experience. When I checked in, they didn't ask for my charge card. 4 days later we came back from a wedding and found we were locked out of our rooms. I had to go to the lobby (almost 1/2 mile walk) to get the key reactivated. It had been raining and the corridors all had standing water -- no drainage -- incredibly slippery. I fell once and then hung on to the walls. They said they fixed my key -- I went back to my room and it still didn't work. On my 2nd trip to the lobby, they told me we were locked out of our room for nonpayment -- we had been there for 4 days without ever being asked for a charge card. I had no card with me and told them i'd give it to them the next day. I sloshed back to my room and went to bed. After 11 pm, someone knocked on my door demanding my credit card. Because of this experience, we checked out the next day -- 3 days early. I only wanted to pay for the 4 days we stayed. I was told we had to pay the entire bill or we wouldn't be allowed to leave. Even without this experience, i wouldn't recommend this hotel. The food goes from bad to OK. Drinks are weak -- and if you want them during breakfast or lunch the chances are very slim that someone will bring them to you. It rained during the wedding and the dance floor had 2" of water on the floor and you had to walk through the downpour to go to the bathroom. The resort itself is beautiful - but not worth it.
