I was very disappointed with our stay. I was double charged when payment was initially due on property and I have to wait 15-20 days for a refund. We had to change rooms twice because of bathroom issues and then we had extensive ants all over the room and encountered some other insects. Rooms are not modern looking. Room service was mediocre and took forever to deliver meals and they were also limited. The staff barely cleaned our room or provided towels unless you requested it. The pool and restaurants were not in close proximity to the room and the transportation trolleys were always full. Certain areas of the pool were dirty. There was no courtesy service at pool or beach as I have seen at other hotels. The drinks served were not premium and if you wanted specific ones you had to pay extra which is ridiculous being that it’s all inclusive and that was not stated before. The Japanese restaurant was also not included in the list of restaurants to dine at. You had to pay extra for that as well. The food at buffet was often cold. The only saving grace we had was our conceirge representative Kilvania Valerio. She was wonderful and tried to rectify any problem we encountered and took care of our restaurant reservations. I was grateful for her service. The waterpark was good and it entertained the kids which I was happy about but unfortunately it was the only good thing about our stay. This was an expensive vacation and it didn’t meet my expectations.

The beach and swimming pools at this property were beautiful and well maintained. We paid for The Level, but didn't really see any benefit to it. The property was huge - largest resort we'd ever been to. We really appreciated the golf cart & "trains" that transported us around the property. The food was average at best. The drinks were delicious. The hibachi restaurant service and food was AWESOME. We wouldn't come here again, but for an unseasoned traveler this is a nice starter resort.

We enjoyed our stay at Meliá Caribe. Our experience was great with the help of our concierge: Kilvania Valerio and Isamar Pulinario who made our stay amazing! The staff are behind helpful and super friendly! The pools and beach are also super clean. They host events in the main lobby until 12 am allowing guest to mingle and connect with ours.

I stayed at Meliá Caribe Beach. Check in was okay, after a long flight and drive it took about 30 minutes to check in and get to my room. Throughout my stay, I was not pleased with room service at all, it took about 2hrs or longer to finally get my order and by the time my food arrived it was very cold. I requested for house keeping service once and when I left the room and came back later that day I still didn’t receive any house keeping service. The resort doesn’t allow certain transportation on property to do drop offs/pick ups but when you ask a bellman to take you to the main gate they refuse or just ignore you. I had an excursion booked one morning and requested for the bellman to take me to the main entrance since they don’t allow all transportations on the property and I never got attended to; it was so frustrating that I decided to just walk and it was about a 10-15 minute walk. The service was really poor.

Mi estadía en el hotel Melia fue estupenda, todo el staff super agradable y siempre muy amables. Kilvania Valerio fue mi concierge durante mi estancia y fue super atenta, nos ayudó muchísimo, nos hizo reservaciones para cenar, y estuvo siempre muy pendiente por si necesitábamos algo. Le recomendaría este lugar a todas mis amistades y familiares, y cuando vuelva a Punta Cana (que será pronto) me volveré a quedar en el Melia Caribe.

They claim to be all inclusive, but not really since up charge for everything. The food is horrible, cold ,taste less and the same everyday in all of the buffet restaurants at least for the 3 days we were there. The few restaurants that we asked for reservations they claim were full and had to fight to get reservations and only to discover they were empty so very poor customer services. We had 7 rooms and some had water leaks, bugs, the sheets were stained etc. This left such a horrible experience for our family that will never go to a Melia resort again.

I will start by saying that I have been to many all inclusive resorts. This is one that I would not go back to. The resort staff did not speak English and showed favoritism to those who spoke Spanish. I was assigned an Expedia rep in the beginning, who was somewhat helpful, but really difficult to communicate with because of this. You need reservations to all restaurants other than the buffet, which is annoying and difficult to get. The food was mediocre at best. Most places were understaffed. The app for the resort was terrible. So, the map and the activities for the hotel were not easy to stay up to date on. The activities were lacking for sure. We had a huge party of 35 with 12 rooms. One of our guests had to switch rooms two times because of the condition of the room. My children's room overflowed with water in the bathroom and water was invading the room through the front door and ceiling as well. Our room was warm all the time. We asked for a fan to help with the heat and the AC not going any lower and they would not allow it. Check-in took over an hour. Golf carts and the train was extremely limited. My group was there for 5 nights and I road the train once. There is NO CLUB - nightlife is nonexistent! The sister property is an adult only which has a club, but they wanted to charge $75 per person to get into an empty club. All in all, I was excited to try this brand, but disappointed. I will not be returning.

The buffet should have more variety of food. The restaurants on-site, the food was not good at all. The only restaurant with good food was the one you need to pay for which is the teppanyaki. The staff were very nice and always cheerful. The rooms and pool need an upgrade.
