Pool area was cold we were not told that we didn't have a pool key or we're not offered a pool key. Were there to rest and there was a bunch of kids running around the top floor above our room all night. The lady tried taking care of it but it kept going all day and morning. Seems the parents left their kids to run a muck and we had no rest!

Pros: our room had 2 double beds and 1 pull out sofa which also served as a bed. It was more spacious than I thought it would be. Staff were really nice and friendly. Location was close to where we wanted to go in Rockford. Cons: the breakfast was pretty bare bones. 2 cereals (fruit loops and another), instant oatmeal, coffee, some bread, yogurt, oranges, eggs and sausage, OJ, apple juice, milk, a waffle maker. Pool: The pool was small and did not appear heated. It was okay but I really missed a hot tub. We were here just to visit family so we were out all day. Interesting: the entire hotel had air freshner smells everywhere. I couldn't figure out where this was coming from. But it felt overpowering at times in the public bathrooms in the lobby.

Most of the staff was very kind and helpful, however, the staff upon check in was very rude. I would have walked out if it wouldnt have cost me 95$ to cancel. The hotel smelled very, very strong of chemical cleaner. I usually like the smell of clean but this was nauseating. Also the pool room is not heated so it is very cold. There was also small bits of mold around the tub. Would not stay again or recommend
