Thick dirt on the windows, cracks in the tiles and a hole in the wall next to the shower. The whole place needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. Also my bedside lights didn’t work

I requested a ground floor / accessible room when I booked this hotel 9 months before my trip. Was given a room at the back of the property on the second floor with no elevator. There were beer cans and cigarette butts and people loitering near the stairs and it was after midnight. Soon as I checked into my room that I didn’t want, was greeted by cockroaches on the bed. The room had incredibly old furniture and no fridge. The bathroom was filthy. I tried to call front desk but the phone didn’t work. I didn’t even put my bags down and went to ask for a different room. (This is a lot of walking while carrying luggage for a person who requested an accessible room) The next room they gave me was on the ground floor, right beside the office, and looked like it had been remodeled. Why would they not have given me this room in the first place like I requested? It was like I was at a different hotel. This room was spotless, and bigger than the previous room, and had a mini fridge. My only issue with this room was the TV remote didn’t work and though I called front desk to ask for a replacement no one ever came to bring me one. Day of checkout there was a long line at the front desk Another guest cut in front of me in line and the people at the counter didn’t care. The vending machine was broken and though I brought it to their attention they said they can’t do anything about it. Only reason I’m not giving this hotel 1 star is because they gave me the new room without trouble.

Easy check in and close to the airport is ALL the positives I can give this hotel. Police in the parking lot with the homeless people fighting when we got there. One room wouldn't open, had to have maintenance help. We should have left when we opened our room and there was a fresh beverage from the gas station in there. I assumed maybe housekeeping left it behind and gave it to maintenance since the rest of the room was clean-ish. There were holes in the walls. The AC unit barely worked. The knob came off in my hand. My husband does HVAC and was going to try and clean it (when the cover fell off while i was trying to put the knob back on) but he said there was no fixing it. Cover didn't fit because at some point, it had MELTED. Tried to sleep with the windows open, but we didn't feel safe and the freeway is literally RIGHT there. Water pressure was terrible, pillows were a joke, and forget the IHOP on site. It had a sign that said it was closed, so we took a Lyft to the mall to eat. We should have asked for a new room but we were traveling with another couple they put next door. Never again! I have photos, but it won't let me upload them!

When you watch the movies from the 80s/90s where there's an outline of a body on the floor in a motel room, this is what my wife and I felt we were in. Very very dated, didn't use the shower as it wasn't clean, tried the AC but this was louder than the highway which was right outside our door. Parking was ok at $5 a night. Would we stay again, no chance. Staff where excellent when I was checking in and dealing with a very angry customer, not me by the way, a very loud American chap.
