Tanglewood Farm B&B - Fox Den Suite 1 BR/1BA Private Apartment on Horse Farm

Come Unwind at Tanglewood Farm Bed & Breakfast!

Our Fox Den Suite is our newest guest apartment, just renovated in the summer of 2014. This is a private apartment that offers a luxurious king size bed, master bath, living room, kitchen with bar seating, and patio on a 10.5 acre horse farm in Southern Pines, NC. The suite is appointed with coffee & tea, microwave, small fridge, oven/stove, sink and utensils for cooking at home. Direct TV and central air. We serve breakfast for up to two guests on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We deliver a tray to your room, with homemade pastries, farm fresh eggs from our chickens, fruity sides and juice.

Nestled in the beautiful Sandhills Region of North Carolina, Tanglewood Farm is a working equestrian farm and bed and breakfast. The horse facility was once used as a US Olympic training facility, and is now primarily used as an eventing competition training farm. If you stay at Tanglewood Farm B&B, you will most likely get the chance to witness some exciting jump training, as our farm is located next to many training facilities, including some owned by Olympic riders and trainers.

Tanglewood Farm Bed and Breakfast offers guests peaceful accommodations, breathtaking views of Southern Pines Horse Country and a quiet respite from everyday life. From a friendly welcome upon your arrival, to weekend breakfast brought to your room, you will feel right at home at Tanglewood Farm.

Take a stroll along the farm and observe the horses, chickens and other wildlife in their everyday routines, or relax with a glass of wine and a good book on a patio right outside your door. Spend the day enjoying the highlights of the Sandhills area, including Seagrove Pottery, Weymouth Center, the Pinehurst Harness Track. Shop for art and beautiful clothes in downtown Southern Pines and Pinehurst, go antiquing in Cameron, golfing at one of the hundreds of golf courses, or hiking at Weymouth Woods. End your night with a delicious meal at one of our many fine restaurants. Whatever the season, a myriad of activities await you in Southern Pines --North Carolina's best keep getaway secret!

During your stay, enjoy fine dining at one of Moore County's gourmet restaurants in Southern Pines, Aberdeen and Pinehurst. The farm is just a three minute drive to the amazing restaurants of downtown Southern Pines. Try Rhett's, Ashten's, Chef Warren's or 195 for some amazing locally grown goodness! Grab a local brew at The Bell Tree Tavern or The Sly Fox, and top off your night with some live music at The Jefferson Inn. When you are ready to retire, curl up with a good book or DVD from your en-suite library and drift away to dreamland!

Dogs are allowed but must be pre-approved. $50 pet fee per dog per stay (2 dog max). Dogs must remain on leash on the premises and cannot be left unattended.

Children are welcome but must be closely attended by guardian at all times. Horses are unpredictable animals and we take everyone's safety very seriously. We ask that they do not run around the horses or barns, as horses tend to spook easily and can injure themselves and others. Also, the lower barn is rented to a horse trainer and we ask that people do not enter that barn. Lindsay would be happy to show you around the upper barn and introduce you to our horses, Rocky & Clifford, as well as the chickens! The kiddos love feeding the chickens and watching them roam free around the farm!

Bringing your horse? We rent out stalls for $40/night, includes 2 bags of shavings. We require proof of negative Coggins.

Check In Policy: Check in is 3:00 (we will send keycode the morning of your arrival).
Check Out is 11:00

We do have wi-fi but it can be spotty in this area. Usually it works just fine but at times it can go out temporarily so if you require reliable internet for work, please make note of this disclaimer!

Serene Weekend Getaway at Tanglewood Farm B&B
My wife and I recently enjoyed a delightful stay at Tanglewood Farm Bed and Breakfast, a picturesque horse farm. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene setting and the welcoming atmosphere. The property is truly enchanting, with chickens and horses freely roaming the grounds. Each room in the bed and breakfast features a quaint courtyard area, beautifully landscaped with flowers that fill the air with their sweet fragrance. It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Our weekend stay was highlighted by the breakfast provided by the host, which incorporated fresh eggs from the farm. This personal touch made our mornings special and added to the overall charm of the place. The rooms were clean, and the communication with the host was excellent, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Downtown Southern Pines, just a short drive away, offered a variety of fantastic restaurants and shops to explore, making our trip even more memorable. We highly recommend Tanglewood Farm Bed and Breakfast for anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.

Farm Delight
What an outstanding place to getaway. I would drive hours to just stay here. There's not a nicer option in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area for relaxing. We enjoyed every single thing about the Fox Den. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. This place is a 5 Star plus. Breakfast is out of this world fresh. The chickens added to our fun. What a great place. Will definitely be back. Thank you. Wayne and Lisa

back to nature
We were pleasantly surprised to find such a clean farm bed & breakfast during very hot weather, able to stay cool in our cabin and walk in the morning and evenings on the grounds to see the chickens, rabbits, and horses. There is close access to Southern Pines restaurants and easy access to Pinehurst Village. If you come to Tanglewood Farm to go horseback riding they are adjacent to several thousands of acres horse trails. My wife and I drove down from Wake Forest, NC. for a weekend R & R and were not disappointed. We had delightful & delicious breakfasts brought to our cabin on Saturday & Sunday morning, used their helpful maps to navigate the local areas. Lindsey, the hostess of this bed and breakfast is fantastic and she also trains horses on the farm. Thank you for such a great time back to nature.

Just perfect!
Thank you so much Lindsay for a fun stay ! The only bad thing was we weren’t there on a weekend to get breakfast! We had coffee on the patio every morning with the chickens and they do love blueberries :). The unit was clean and comfy. We stayed in Fox den. No issues at all and Lindsay is on sight for anything that might come up. Lots of birds and butterflies and met the horses too. We will definitely be back and it’s pet friendly too !! Don’t hesitate to book here. Thanks Lindsay!!

Paradise!
We could not have been happier with our stay at Tanglewood Farm BnB. We didn't want to leave! The property is absolutely charming, the hosts are delightful, and the Fox Den where we stayed was even better than we expected. Our space was gorgeously decorated, the furniture and bed were incredibly comfortable (which is unusual in a rental) and we were so at home that we stayed in every night rather than going out. We even grilled the last evening we were there, enjoying the sunset on the patio with the chickens keeping us company. It truly was paradise, and we're planning on heading back in a few months.

Peaceful Getaway
This cottage is a lovely place to stay. Situated in the middle of a horse farm with lovely gardens in every direction and a few chickens nestled in the bushes. In addition to the surroundings the space itself was very comfortable and had everything one would need. Best of all we were allowed to bring our two dogs with us. Again, it is a lovely place to stay.

The "Fox Den" was spacious, private and comfortable. The patio looked out on the farm view of horses and paddocks and the chickens and bunnies greeted us as we came and went. Perfect location for good restaurants and shops in Southern Pines and quick jump to Pinehurst. Lindsay makes sure you are happy. Kathy & Ron

Beautiful property in a great location and spectacular breakfast!
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in beautiful Southern Pines. The stay at Tanglewood Farm Bed and Breakfast made it special. Lindsey was a kind and welcoming host who made wonderful and memorable breakfasts (it is no surprise she is in culinary school). The grounds were well kept with lovely landscaping and friendly farm animals. Downtown is close by with shopping and restaurants and there are many places to hike and enjoy the outdoors. Thank you Lindsey and Randy for sharing your property with us. Hope to stay again soon.

Bucolic B&B
Quiet location in the country, but it was only a 10-12 minute drive to most of the local restaurants and stores. The room was very clean and communication from the B&B director was superb. My son loved seeing the chickens, rabbits, cats, and of course, the horses each time we came and went from the property. I also appreciated the assigned parking space and the easy check in.

We so enjoyed our stay! Definitely a haven and wonderful place to walk around and see creatures we normally don’t get to encounter. I loved the free range chickens! Oh my, what’s not to like? Idyllic location, clean, very comfortable, private but not isolated, absolutely charming. You can’t beat waking up, walking out of your back door with a cup of coffee and immediately being greeted by a beautiful view, graceful horses, adorable bunnies and well behaved chickens. My hosts were kind and attentive. They were available and happy to chat, but also very conscientious of my privacy. If I needed something, they were speedy.
