We stayed in the main house. Upon entering, we noticed the peeling paint and rotten wood on the house and porch, and the smell of mildew upon entering the door. Our room was smelly, bedspread was wet from dampness, mildew stained pillows, cobwebs on lamp shades, tiny bathroom and shower stall, shower stall for one with standing in place room only and no shelves to put soap or anything else, shower curtain old and frayed. There was a window ac unit.
We slept in our clothes and did not use the shower. There were 2 couples at breakfast who were staying in the cabins and they were not happy either....they had the same complaints.
The owners were in a hurry to leave for their vacation that afternoon, gave us a hurried tour with another potential visitor, and did not even have any bottled water......only well water. No comfy atmosphere, smelly and rundown.
A cold front had come in that day with alot of wind and rain. The roads leading to the inn were full of pot holes and flooded....it wasn't even high tide. When I asked Bob about the flooding on the road, as we were concerned about getting stuck later upon returning from town and dinner, he said it's never happened. This place is at the end of the peninsula, surrounded by the bay on 3 sides. The other 2 couples said they were glad they had an suv with 4 wheel drive.
