"A lovely hotel with an astounding view of Lake Arenal and friendly, helpful staff. Just be aware that unless you have your own car, you will pay extra for transportation to and from La Fortuna. We were told that cab fare from La Fortuna is $60 each way."

"Property is set up in nature as shown in pictures and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. "

"The jungle trail on the property was great. We saw a lot of wildlife and plants. The food at the lodge was very good and breakfast included was delicious. We stayed in the Chalet and had amazing views. Overall the property was great but highly recommend checking in during the day due to the 2km drive off the main road to the property. "

"We stayed here about 9 years ago and chose to stay again. Our room was the type that has a 'backyard' with our own hot spring (think jacuzzi with a water fall feature, surrounded by plants and flowers, and heated by a volcano). The thermal forest and hot springs near the main pool were also amazing and a nice option between La Fortuna adventures, or when the rain forest is 'doing it's job' (aka raining). The hotel has also added a large covered area with sofas and comfy chairs and tables to allow for protection from the rain, but still to be outside and with views of the trees and plants."
