The room was exceptionally hot, even with a fan blowing. It was due to outside temp as it was in the 40s at night and only 50s during the day.

The room was very hot and difficult to sleep in, opened the window but room was above the parking lot and very noisy So, not much rest. We did not get the room made up the second night, no clean towels They did give us a roll away because it was 1 adult and 2 children Overall I was very disappointed We paid almost double from the competition hotel and really was not worth it. The cheaper room was better the last time we stayed there.

Moderate Your Expectations and It Will Be OK
I’ve stayed in way worse but never at this cost. Hotel is seriously dated and kinda dingy. Room seemed clean but couldn’t really tell with very poor lighting. Unrelated but relevant, the recessed light fixtures were hanging out of the ceiling in our room. TV kept freezing with sat box needing to constantly be reset. Staff was friendly and efficient. On the water was a plus albeit a minimal one. Breakfast buffet was good enough. Looking in through kitchen’s exterior door (opens to parking lot) didn’t look particularly clean. We chose to eat elsewhere each of our three nights because of this.

Great Place to Stay in Valdez
We were very pleased with this hotel with the exception of having no elevator so taking luggage upstairs was not convenient. Staff was helpful and provided good customer service.

Training needs done on staff.
Front desk associate needs Training on how to be professional. Get off your phones! Personal conversions should stop once there is a guest standing there. Breakfast was unacceptable. Green eggs were blatant on the buffet. I will end that the rooms were clean and dinner was great and overall it was quiet.
