"Resort was lovely, the trees were gorgeous and fragrant, the upper parking lot was busy on the weekend but tbh not even remotely similar to being anywhere IN Santa Cruz. Being from a small touristy mountain town we felt pretty at home. Even the drive down into Santa Cruz was doable for someone who is used to a super rural life, pace, and drive. No complaints from us. "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Monarch Cove Inn! The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable! We even had our own private patio! The grounds are beautiful (probably even more so when it’s not cloudy and raining!). It is close to downtown Capitola, just a 1/2mile walk or so. They also have such friendly and welcoming staff! Katrina was so sweet and accommodating, it was like staying with family! Also, we have never been served breakfast in our room before! That was so cool. Fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and pastries from a local bakery!! It was delicious. We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to get away for a perfect weekend (or longer!) "

"We hosted 11 performers for two shows at 418 Project behind the hotel. Performers were very happy with their rooms and proximity to the venue. The last evening more than 30 of us gathered at the bar. The bar staff were excellent and accommodating. A lot of people to land at one time and the bar tenders were super at all those orders."
