I loved my stay at Citizen M. Parking was super easy at the lot right next door. Loved the convenience to the Grand Central market, the great art galleries and bars in the area. Felt safe to walk at night. Delish food options super close and easy location to all access all the highways if driving. Would absolutely stay here again. Rooms were clean, on the small side but absolutely comfortable for one or two people and well layed out. i stayed on one of the upper floors and it was super quiet. Loved the black out curtains as it gets so sunny early in LA.

Clean and modern, but the rooms are too small. You shouldn’t have to choose between opening your suitcase and walking from your bed to the bathroom.

Do not stay here is you have a vehicle!!!! They have zero parking, and are not helpful in regard to finding a parking lot. The lots in the area of the hotel are blocks away from Skid Row! You will be in danger, and forced to deal with begging homeless people. It is unsafe. And on weekends, you will get the opportunity to meet other hotel guests at 6am to “feed the meter” and buy additional parking from the lots around the hotel. They all expire at 6am!!!!!! You will be towed if you don’t extend your parking after 6am. Enjoy!

This place was quite amazing for the money. The rooms are on the small side but perfectly designed. Better than hotels many time the price. Only downside is the umbrellas they have are useless (a weird asymmetric design that means one side of you will get wet if it’s raining). But that’s a minor gripe.

The room was perfect for a solo traveler! It was fun to be control the room with the ipad. Loved the lobby area with its cute and quirky decor. The staff were very friendly and kudos to them for leaving me a nice birthday surprise when i checked in!

This is going to be my first bad review, but it must be said.. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE! The rooms are EXTREMELY small.. I traveled with my boyfriend and the room was so small that we constantly bumped into each other while getting dressed.. The sink was very small.. There was no complimentary breakfast available, only a “breakfast buffet” that was $24 with coffee, water, and orange juice for drinks and limited food.. No valet and only 3 available parking spaces to the hotel. We were practically told by staff to take a chance parking on the street or pay one of the nearby parking structures, which turned out to be our only option.. No garbage can, microwave, or good working refrigerator available in the room.. If you have leftovers you need to warm up, you have to go do so in the main lobby.. No ice available on any of the floors.. No room service.. No restaurant onsite.. I don’t know who’s idea it was to make a hotel with Barbie house sized rooms, but it was not desirable at all.. Not only for me, but at least 3 other guests complained about the same issues while conversing on the elevator.. Majority of the staff was ok, but was more in tune with each other than the guests.. I’m sorry, but this hotel gets 4 thumbs down from me..
