My first day at the hotel, I left around 11:30AM and came back around 1PM to my door open with the dead bolt on. I had my do not disturb sign hung so was unsure why my room had been entered. This made me super uncomfortable the rest of my stay considering staff could not confirm exactly who went in, or if they could they would not tell me. The answer I was given after asking twice was “maybe house keeping”. So I did not sleep well the rest of my stay considering that anyone would/could walk in even though I had my do no disturb sign hung. The same day I saw house keeping go into someone else’s room that also had the sign hung, luckily they were in their room and informed house keeping that they didn’t need to check out till 11 (it was 10AM). Every time I left the hotel, going forward, I had to take videos of making sure my door was completely shut. I was tired of being uneasy and asked if it would be an issue to check out early, was told I would be charge an extra $200 after I already paid for the week stay upon arrival. So I didn’t check out early to not be charged twice for the same night. It was unfortunate to have this experience given my first time staying in a hotel in this area. I didn’t feel safe leaving my personal belongings since anyone could of entered my room while I was gone. I wasn’t called back after an “investigation” was undergone & was not given any direct answers as to why my door was even open. I wish my experience was better considering the room was nice
