Book a hotel near Monterey Bay Aquarium, New Monterey

"Martine inn is a gorgeous property near the ocean in Pacific Grove. You can easily walk the beach trail to Lovers Point or Monterey Bay. The breakfast is a lovely experience with the dining room facing the ocean, the staff provides binoculars for spotting otters in the ocean. The room we stayed in was decorated with beautiful wallpaper and had vintage furniture and fixtures throughout. It's pretty magical, we will be coming back. "

"We were a family of 9 adults and every single person in our group talked about how impressed we all were with this hotel. The location, the food, the cleanliness, the amenities, the atmosphere, the decor - almost everything was 5 star. The only thing I would change is the mattress - it was uncomfortable and every time my husband or I moved the whole mattress would wobble. The waitstaff working at the function we attended definitely need more training about how to talk to each other in front of the guests. But that's negligible. I would stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa again and again. It is excellent."
