I stayed here for 5 nights between Christmas and New Year with my daughter for her 21st birthday. The hotel is lovely. Foyer, cafe , bar etc all very spacious and stylish. Smells lovely too. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. We were allocated a fabulous room on the 22nd floor on a corner so had amazing views. Due to the corner location we didn’t find it small. Bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Steamer and hairdryer were sturdy and worked well! Cafe was lovely with great coffee and pastries. We had a pizza in the bar which had a lovely atmosphere - really festive and cosy. Area was ideal for a first time visit to NY as you can walk everywhere. Hudson Yards one way, midtown the other. We walked the High Line and right down to the Staten Island ferry link, which was about 1 and a half hours and very nice. But we like walking! Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come again.

The check-in took 3 hours after it was supposed to be, the room was incredibly small and it was not cleaned during the time I was there, just change of towels and make the bed.

The hotel itself was great. Rooms on the small size, but nothing else to compare it to in NYC. The only comment I have is the housekeeping didn’t come several days until our day was over and we had returned to change for dinner. 5:30-6:00 so we just asked them for towels everyday.

Overall, excellent stay. Close to pretty much everything from Times Square to Macy's to theaters, subway, all kinds of restaurants, etc. I loved that the hotel was modern and clean. The staff actually does an excellent job keeping the hotel clean and they tend to your requests in a timely matter. The only thing I would change about this hotel is to probably have some type of security because anyone can come in the hotel without having access. A suggestion for increased security would possibly be to add having to scan your hotel key to access the elevator so that non-guests won't be able to go any further than the lobby. One other suggestion is to add the ability to utilize your external streaming devices on the tv in the hotel, ie: Firestick, Roku, etc. because it gets a little pricey paying to watch movies on the tv in the room. Other than that, Arlo is our go to hotel next time in New York.

Great hotel
Very good stay in comfortable beds. Hotel is very clean and smells great. Rooms are not verybspacious but clever room design allows for easy bag storage so theyre not in the way. Room did not feel clostaphobic. No coffee amenties in room but can be requested. Free cans of water was a great addition. Walkable to places near times square/ central park and near the start of the highline walk. Street is busy but unless windows are open in room you do not hear it. Climate control in room offered excellent comfort. Staff were very helpful. Communication to hotel guests about rooftop bar and when the bar is closed for private functions would be great as we were told several different things by workers and ones hosting the party.

The property was new to us as our usual spot was booked. Arlo was in what felt like a safe area, easily walkable to Times Square. Catching a cab or uber was fairly easy. The hotel coffee shop, bar and restaurant were all very good. Our room was clean, quiet and nicely updated. The staff were so nice and very attentive. We would stay here again!

Not our best choice
Location was good. Not worth the price for many reasons including lack of friendliness from front desk staff when asking about our room key not working (a mechanical issue) or when we called before trip to ask about parking. Room was tiny considering it was $2000 for 2 nights. The lights flickered, the cooling box didn’t keep food cool at all, the smoke alarm flashed a bright white light all night and no sound proofing to the street. We won’t be back.

Was pleasant enough, rooms were small but as expected, we did have an issue with water and wind coming through edge of window but as only there a few nights didn’t report, did feel the need to re-iterate deposit only would be returned if no weapons were found in the room in front of the children was heavy to family from the UK

I loved the location, walking distance to all the major points of interest. The hotel is extremely nice and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and goes beyond to make sure your stay is the best. Would not hesitate to book the hotel and would definitely stay there the next time we visit New York City.
