Great Stay

The Renaissance Midtown it’s a great stay. The hotel is decorated very tastefully. Rooms are confortable and location unbeatable just a block from Penn Station. The hotel is walking distance to basically every major attraction in midtown. However, the best attribute of this hotel is the staff. The entire staff was extremely friendly and attentive. A special thanks to the bartenders at the roof top bar. They were the best and the rooftop experience is second to none. I highly recommended.

The only reason for lower scores are due to the lack of hot water. When called maintenance actually laughed at us and said the Easter is 100 degrees, that’s ’luke warm’ and literally for a baby bath.

Great location

Great location with easy access to Penn Station. Nice bar with good cocktail menu. Views of city (for an extra fee) were good if not great. Spacious bathroom and well appointed room. No complaints- I would stay here again.

Great hotel great location

The staff was superb - very helpful I had a great view towards the Statue of Liberty (in the far distance) Fridge, coffee machine and a lighted closet. Clean room with nice toiletries. Walking distance to so many attractions.

Really great value

We booked the hotel for the first time for a Sunday night and were so delighted we will now make this our go-to hotel in NYC. It's new, immaculately clean and with good security, and has a floor devoted to check-in, a lounge, bar snack and shop. Our room had a floor to ceiling glass wall with a window that opened - heaven - and a perfect only-in-NY view. Great sheets and towels, too, plus a comfortable bed, and a long counter running most of the length of the room so we didnt have to hunt for somewhere to put our bags, books, papers, takeaway etc. Penn Station subway is a block away, while on the corner of the Renaissance's block, on 35th and 7th, there's a Starbucks and, close to that on 7th, a good and inexpensive Mexican takeaway. Couldn't fault it. And $150!
