The hotel was very nice looking and in a great area near Times Square but the elevators were malfunctioning the whole time so we had to walk up and down 9 flights of stairs a couple of times which was annoying but overall it was nice

The furniture and the interior condition of the hotel needed updating. The furniture in the room was old and in poor condition. The carpet in the common area on my room floor needed updating. The water in shower leaked on the bathroom floor because the glass door wasn’t long enough.

The staff was lovely; the room cozy and warm. Essentials covered without the fluff. Perfect location, just a few minutes walk away from Times Square, yet still quiet and felt secluded. Well lit, felt safe walking alone as a female. Thanks again!

The property was well priced and located a block away from Times Square. With this property, you get what you pay for. Yet there were wires hanging out of an outlet which caused a minor fire. The elevators take a long time to come and are small.

Definitely disappointed in the condition of the property. Carpet is nasty. Someone’s dried contacts were stuck to our nightstand. Long waits for elevators. Had our thermostat set to 65 and it was still boiling in our rooms. Lighting in rooms was way too dark.

I ask for a room with a view, and i was pleasantly accommodatied. Location was right off from times Square. Room service was early and the staff was friendly. Even late night requests were honored. Will stay their again

I was really nervous about staying here after reading the reviews and seeing the photos. There were no bugs in my room, the extremely friendly staff cleaned my room spotless with plenty of towels shampoo and conditioner, lotions etc daily. I did not have one thing stolen and all of the workers were over the top curtious at every visit. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions or suggestions for the area. The elevator was the only problem but doable because any other hotel that’s less than 100 feet from Times Square would have charged you double the cost. It’s not a super fancy hotel but I definately wouldn’t compare it to a motel 6. If you want to stay at the Ritz for a more expensive stay it’s right across the street. The only noise issues were the people staying at the hotel. There is not a night club next door it’s an Irish pub that not even on New Years had just a hand full of customers. The wall in between I think were sound proof because we never heard anyone unless it were in the hall or cars and people from the street. If you are a light sleeper anywhere in the city might seem loud but all the walking in New York City wiped me out. The bed we had was so comfortable and the pillows just felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. This was my experience in my room. Also, if you don’t want to feel like your in a closet get the deluxe rooms - it will feel bigger. This is New York and this place is inexpensive considering. I would stay again.

Great location, however the hotel is in need of renovation. There was 1/3 elevators working, meaning that there were long wait times to use the elevator. We ended up walking lots of flights of stairs because it was faster. The hotel also no longer has ice, drinking water or vending machines available on-site.
