"There are so many aspects of this location and home that contribute to creating the perfect month long vacation experience. Big Pine Key itself is rather unique. Unlike more famous over developed, over crowded keys such as Marathon, this bigger island has it’s compact shopping district centered on US 1 but the rest of the island has a large wildlife refuge with scattered clusters of housing developments, many of which have a canal system connecting to the ocean. It’s definitely a laid back “old Florida” feel with a tranquil quiet vibe. There are restaurants and a shopping center and, when needed, there are lots of big chain store just across the bride to Marathon.This property sits on a double lot bordered by canals on two sides. Dock a boat or fish in the canals. The one story house is at ground level with the beautiful pool and integrated jacuzzi right outside the Florida room door— a rarity because most other homes in the keys are built up on stilts requiring constant up and down stairs. The interior is charmingly updated recently with new bathrooms and a modern completely stocked kitchen. We cooked many meals and found all the pans, utensils and many spices we needed. The flow in the house is well thought out. There is a large thatched tiki hut by the pool with attractive furniture, coconuts on the palms. Communication with the owner/host was easy and delightful. They were very eager to make sure we had every convenience. We rebooked for next year!"

"Thank-you for an amazing stay. This property is lovely and was perfect for our big family holiday vacation. 3 Grandparents, 2 adults and our daughter were all comfortable. Big open spaces, everything you need is there and lovely patio to dine outside. If you fish like me, Bait freezer and locked storage downstairs for your equipment. Didn't use the pool as it was Dec but its big and nice patio with it to relax. Would certainly recommend and come again. Andrea the host is incredible with her communication. Thank-you "

"This property is very well maintained by the attentive and friendly owner who travelled from Miami to stay in the next property on weekends. The property has beautiful decor with thoughtful provision of supplies. The fully fenced and secured yard is ideal for our dog who could only bark at the Key Deers outside. Interesting variety of fruit trees and flowers inside and outside the yard. The owner treated us with samples of tree-riped fruits. Convenient to shopping. Good choice of walking paths within this area that includes the Key Deer Wildlife Refuge. Close proximity to the excellent Bahia Honda Provincial Park with its nice beaches is a great feature. If improvement can be made to this property, it would be the addition of cable TV programming to the existing Roku TV streaming. Overall, excellent place to stay and relax."
