This was truly a really great place to stay while visiting relatives. Stayed here several years ago and was not impressed. They have truly upped their game the last few years. "We had a block of 15 rooms. Every staff member, food service personnel, and bar tender went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The pizza in the bar was great, especially the buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza chef was super cool, took a lot of pride in his work, and delivered hot artisanal pizzas. We met great people from all over the U.S. in the bar. We had a lot of fun spending time with them. Hotel guests were courteous. Room was clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Nice listening to the creek from the room. There are a few areas of the hotel that could use repair or updating but they did not adversely impact our stay. You get here exactly what you pay for. If you want an older laid back resort to relax, have some good food and drinks, and hang out with some nice people, this is a great place for you. If you want perfection and to be pampered, go check in at the Ritz Carlton. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you to the staff of the Woodlands Inn for a wonderful time!
