Front desk staff were super helpful when we couldn't work out the airconditioner. Loved that there were homemade cookies on arrival. (Wine also in the evening if you wanted.) Walkable, as right downtown, but still in a quiet area. So clean and comfy. Loved there was a unexpected outdoor patio. Went to breakfast at the onsite restaurant which was very yummy. Local told us about Gold Dust Pizza off the main strip and still walkable. Fabulous outdoor area and great pizza with no wait! Great stay! Thank you for having us!

I loved the aesthetic of the place, attention to detail, local artist represented in the art work & craftsmanship of the building. I also loved their use of antiques in a modern setting etc. It was a true representation of the beauty found in the Sierra Foothills.

Our stay at the Hanford House was wonderful! The staff were welcoming and there to provide you the best stay. We enjoyed the fresh baked scones every morning delivered to our door. We will be recommending this hotel to others and will be back to stay.

Super amazing cute boutique hotel in Sutter Creek. Best place to stay in Amador County. I’m an AC native and came back to visit…believe me when I say it’s the absolute best in the entire county. Pick the Hanford House first!

We love the Hanford House.
The manager greeted us before we walked in the door. The customer service was excellent. The room was beautiful and we were made to feel like VIPs with chocolates on our pillows, coffee service in the morning with fresh baked scones. The restaurant had delicious food at a reasonable price with great service. We’ll Be back!!

The size of the bathroom (huge) was a surprise! Enjoyed the shower, lots of room, shower bars, great towels. The scones in the AM, delicious as was the coffee available in the lobby. Restaurant connected to the building, excellent check for hours open. Everyone friendly, helpful, especially the receptionist working in the early morning and afternoon. Stayed on the first floor, stairs to the upper floor a challenge for cane users. Had a great time and would stay here again.
