Pros: great location next to Times Square and many subway stations, friendly staff. Cons: small room, WiFi advertised as 100 mb download speed but the actual speed was less than 20 mb, limited amenities, room wasn’t completely soundproof.

Absolutely wonderful time at the Kimpton Theta. The hotel was recently remodeled and looks great! Staff was not the friendliest but the rooms are pretty roomy for an NYC hotel and it is located to a lot of wonderful landmarks.

Stayed in theatre district because I was attending a few shows over the weekend but most hotels in this area are overpriced, tiny rooms, old, and too busy for decent customer service. Kimpton Hotel Theta was a great fine! Perfect locatio. Large renovated rooms. Staff are pleasant. Housekeeping was efficient (room was cleaned before noon every day). Only thing I wasn’t keen on was having to pay for early check in…stayed for 3 nights and would expect such a silly fee to be covered.

Really nice hotel located within the theatre district/Times Square. If you’re seeing shows, the theatres are steps from the hotel. But that means steps from Times Square, so it is super crowded and noisy. Check-in was good, rooms were clean, and staff were all around really great.

We had a great stay here, loved the coffee service and happy hour daily. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Our room was large and renovated nicely. We were close to the subway station that went directly to the airport which was a huge plus!

I’m reluctant to tell everyone about this fantastic hotel as it may become too popular! So, do not stay at the Kimpton Theta NY 😉 But if you choose to ignore this advice then… The Theta Hotel is in a great central location, the rooms are a good size for NY and beds are terrific. It’s well soundproofed and has some great eateries a few doors away. The staff are excellent, from the front desk to the room teams. Really glad we chose the Theta and will be back again.

Great location. Very helpful when asking questions. No question to ridiculous. Would stay there again. A block or so from Broadway and Time Square! Lots of restaurants in the area with some open 24 hours.

The hotel was beautiful. Came in a little earlier than check-in time hoping for a room to be available. No room was available was fine we understood however the staff by the door were rude and dismissive. They acted like we were bothering them with the two questions I had. This kind of treatment really dull my experience here and makes me not want to come back. However a woman that check me in after 3 PM was lovely but the rest of the staff that were there were not. I experienced stumping rude to other guests as well.

The elevator was pouring water from a leak on the roof. The infrastructure is very old. The access to the restaurant is bizarre. Sink dirty. This is my fourth time staying and my second time with the room questionably cleaned. I won’t be back
