We enjoyed our stay. Our room was poolside so we had a great view & could enjoy from our balcony if we wanted. Staff at Yella Umbrella were very nice!

It was ok
Check in was smooth Room had a damp feel, and mouldy smell, hair on bathroom floor and bedsheets, saw one cockroach in the kitchen. Hallways were dark. View from room was good, air conditioning worked . Beds were uncomfortable, so was the Murphy bed. Breakfast was decent, served like a buffet with waffle making Stn Staff was pleasant.

We loved that we had the ability to book and oceanfront 1 bedroom suite for 4 people. Loved the multiple pools and walking distance to the boardwalk. We didn't love that there wasn't a broom in our room because no matter how hard you try, you get sand all over because it's ocean front. The room and some parts of the facility were a little dated, but clean.

My only complaint is one of the nights we got back to our room late I was so thirsty and their self checkout was broken I had asked if I could just pay the front desk and was told no because they don’t keep cash at night then I was told to go to a different building to a vending machine which was also broken. Instead of just letting me grab a drink and pay I was told there was a gas station a block away. I was not walking to some area I have never been at 1 in the morning to grab a drink. Funny thing they gave my husband change for a 20.00 ten min later after being told I couldn’t purchase a drink because they don’t keep cash.

I loved that this property is close to the beach and has multiple pools. I also liked that it was convenient to a strip of shops and restaurants. What I think they could improve on is there were no pool towels but any of the pools indoor or outdoor. Also, the breakfast area was very crowded which I expected since they have multiple buildings.

Hotel was in disrepair and I made a reservation at a nearby hotel within a few hours of being there, not even knowing if I’d get any money back. We ran into another couple at the new hotel who had done the exact same thing! There was a thick/padded carpet on the main level of our building (which wasn’t even a level floor, so it felt like they put thick carpeting over a foundation issue?) and it was grossly squishy and likely full of mold. There were no pool/beach towels available. Our room had a rusty hole in the bathtub. The toilet barely worked. The back of the AC unit was off - so the AC unit was constantly blasting cold air, or letting it all out. We were either cold or sweating all night. The person closest to the AC unit coughed the whole night - we’re assuming a mold issue - because it didn’t happen the following night at the new hotel. The kitchenette area looked dirty and I wouldn’t even consider making coffee machine. We wore our sandy sandals inside because they felt cleaner than the gross carpet (that felt squishy and moist, like a possible mold issue there too). We have never packed up and left a hotel so fast.

The view was great and thats about it. The breakfast was horrible, the eggs were runny links were tough and low on overall selection. There was a syrup puddle near the elevator of the main lobby and stayed there for 4 days. Makes me wonder how clean everything else is. Our room wasn't cleaned everyday.
