The overall staying was great. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room I stayed needed some maintenance attention, the towels holder in the bathroom was detached from the wall. An uncovered pillow had a big stain on it. Details like: there was a couple of coffee maker and coffee bags but no sugars, creams or instructions. I gave up trying to figure out how to make the tv work. I work in the industry and maybe I was picky, but details are what makes the difference.

The bedding, the molded and dusty air vents, mildew smelling hallways, bloody pillows and bed sheets, and dirty bath tub were a major disappointment compared to what was originally pictured for the advertised picture. However, the pool options, beach access, shopping access, plethora of food options and oceanfront view was worthwhile I guess. I will return to N. Myrtle Beach, but this was my last stay at Sands Ocean Club Resort. Good luck!

I have stayed a few times over this month and the worst room ever, noisy, not clean and they don't clean when you stay there this was supposed to be ocean view yet the view was of another building, and they let anyone and everyone in the pool area so people that don't stay here use the pool, also the garage my car has damaged due to garage parking garage someone parked in a no parking zone and trying to get your car below the next level is impossible leaving my car with major damage to the right side.

8-22/8-25-2024 It was my boyfriend (now fiancé) and I’s first vacation together alone. Sands Ocean Club is going to be the place we book yearly maybe even twice a year! If anything is wrong in the room they will send maintenance up right away or if able let you check out another room. The staff at the desk were super friendly and the place all around is a beautiful area to stay!

While the location of the hotel is excellent, our rooms were not impressive. The carpet was very dirty, almost looked like someone had thrown up. The tables needed to be wiped down, but the dishes, pots and pans, bathrooms were all okay. You can tell the property has some age to it, this was our first visit. The staff and other facilities were great. I would stay again, if I couldn’t get into the hotel of my choice.

Booked room for what appeared to be on the website for 2 bed studio. Preferable king or queen. From the pictures posted, it showed a very nice room with ~2~ Actual beds. Well we had 1 queen size bed and a pull out sof. Called the front desk and explained that this is not what was requested as what appeared online as well as im 6ft3 268lbs and my wife and child with me can not fit in this littlw queen size bed. Receptionist understood and said they had inventory of a king bed room but i would need to contact expedia to make the request bc i had booked through them. Cool...called and they contacted the hotel directly and was told Receptionist at hotel told them slrry we have no more rooms... DID NOT ENJOY OUR STAY. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AS WELL AS VERY OUTDATED AND STILL HAVE PREVIOUS GUEST BELONGING IN THE ROOM. MOLDED VENTS.. NO COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER. Honestly would hand just rather got a refund but was told since i checked in-then I'll be charged for cancelation and early checkout.

1980s decor in filthy condition, nice view though.
Room was gross, cabinets without knobs, patio door locks broken, toilet paper roll holder broken, oven door in need of repair, furniture chewed on, carpets had permanent stains, food residue on the walls around stove.

Taking into mind the price of this resort, you get what you pay for. The resort itself had a decent outside pool and lazy river. There is a oceanside bar and a grill on site as well. The inside pool and jacuzzi were also nice. The room however was a different thing. The carpets seemed dirty, there was dust over the vents and ceiling. The sheets and blankets also had stains all over them. The furniture was outdated and half the chairs were falling apart. Parking in the structure was a process as there seems to be more cars then spots. People rip through the parking structure, so be careful if you have kids. They also do not let you use the luggage carts their staff has to so be prepared to tip.
