My only downside was requesting my receipt via mail, but then had to call 2x and I am still waiting for my receipt so I can share with my friend the total cost of our room & vallet parking. Also- I was informed that vallet parking was $85/day, but it was $150/ in & out. Very misleading.

This is a place I would recommend for families or couples. The location was great. It was near everything. I spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve there and just had a wonderful day. The rules were nice and clean when you call room service. They’re right away when you call the front desk there Response was absolutely incredible. The staff was friendly. They were helpful. It rained they had umbrellas in the front for you to get an umbrella to the wall whatever it was just an absolutely wonderful stay and I would recommend this place before I recommend any other.

Great place to stay, room with 2 queen beds was large, lovely bathroom. Champagne handed out as you checked in, heated pool & warming shelters on rooftop with people swimming when temperatures were in the 20s. Nice restaurant & bar. Would definitely stay there again in NYC.

came for a christmas time visit. Was disappointed to learn that the dining room would be closed for dinner during our stay. We came with kids and like to stay in for dinner. In addition, the day we arrived at 4 pm we were told the pool would be closed and only open from 7 am until noon. Since we had morning plans, we had no opportunity to swim. I don't feel we should have been charged a resort fee because these things were not available to us.

Not a great stay
The reason we come each year is for the POOL. The kids love swimming, When we arrived we were told the pool is only open from 7 am to noon for the two days we were there. In addition, the dining room (Ivy Room) would not be open at all during our stay for dinner. We should have been told these things up front as I would have stayed elsewhere. Then an exorbident resort fee - even though the resort amenities were not available , i.e. swimming and restaurant.

Pool full of drugs, broken beds but Lovely staff
A lovely warm welcome from the reception staff went a long way to countering the first and only communication from the hotel - which was NOT a ‘looking forward to your stay’ but instead was a warning about surveillance and refusal of stay if I didn’t agree to surveillance. Nothing else just that. So as you can imagine the arrival was slightly dreaded. However a warm welcome from the gentleman at reception went a long way to ease the worry. Short lived as the beds in our room were so degraded that they crunched and pinged at every movement. We tried to sleep on the broken mattress for the first night but in the morning were moved to a new room. Same issue but with only one of the beds. Nothing else they could do. The main selling point was the rooftop pool. Although every website mentions a 6pm close for families and 365 day opening the pool closed at 12pm everyday. The pool was littered with old plasters, straws, rubbish etc. Our kids fished out 2 pre-rolled joints from the pool along with a couple of baggies of drugs that had clearly fallen in the pool. We put them next to the pool attendant who didn’t seemed phased. The main pool deck round the pool was filthy. The hotel rooftop bar was busy from 5pm with non residents, but you aren’t allowed out on the pool deck, and the service was dead slow and stop and not for residents. Indignant staff who weren’t in anyway interested in serving residents. Plus points were decent free coffee and good location.

Amazing! Royalton Park Avenue is right in the middle of everything (walking distance). Clean and quiet hotel. Definitely staying here again for our anniversary!

Classy older property on Park Avenue. Convenient to Kip’s Bay and lower midtown Manhattan. Staff was excellent. Michelle was friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar and area is very nice and festive for the holidays. Rooftop Pool open yearround!

Royalton Park Avenue is our go-to hotel in Manhattan. We always have a lovely stay. On this visit, we got bumped up to a deluxe King room which was a special treat. A very comfortable, convenient hotel with great staff and great food. We always feel like we are staying at a resort.

Enjoyed a long weekend with family at the comfy Royalton. I booked 3 rooms yet we were on 3 different floors. I struggle to understand the resort fee as the pool is closed in the winter and no coffee offered so WHY? Staff was so kind and rooms are clean. Would advise friends to stay there!

Big rooms but bad service
The stay itself was fine but it was after. When I paid upfront in full and thought it was fine. Then I got charged 2 more times. Once for the water and then a larger charge for taxes plus they added charges to my room that I didn’t even make. It also was impossible to get an itemized receipt.
