Very convenient location for Times Square. Super busy and noisy at this time of year. Now that we have fully explored this area we'll look for something a bit quieter in another part of Manhattan next time.

From the corn we room over Times Square,we got to watch them build the stage for the NYE concert area Would have been great spot to watch the concerts without the weather and Crowd!

Location was terrific but otherwise the W is below standard for a ; fine hotel: Only one small drawer to put clothes in ,very small closet space ( like being in a college dorm) No coffee maker/ microwave/ refrigerator/ only one chair( a lounge chair only for one person) elevator systems had most people stuck at one point or another in elevator ( requires key placement precisely while tapping preferred floor,never an explanation for that! No working fireplace or simulation of one even though it was certainly cold enough for it! No Coffee in the lobby and could only get into a bathroom with hotel key! Blocked off from the road and had to drag our luggage a block or 2 to hotel!

I made reservations almost a year in advance with the request of a lower level floor. Upon check in, they provided us with a room on the 54th floor, which is the hotels top floor. They relocated our reservation to the 34th and upgraded to a corner room. The hotel is per friendly and I do love my pets, however our room smelled of cat urine. When she checked us in, she stated there were no other rooms available so we just stayed. It’s a great location but the rooms are rough. This is not at all what I expected for “W” property. Our room was freezing the entire time. We had to keep the blinds closed and heat up on 82. The Marriott Marquee was probably a better choice.
