"Our stay at the Sofitel Dubai Palm was amazing. The staff and facilities were fantastic and if we were looking for a chilled beach holiday we would definitely come back here. The only negative we had was that outside of the hotel there is nothing to do on an evening. This is the same for all resorts on the Palm so isn’t against the Sofitel. We had a young child so getting taxis into the Marina etc at night was not great as she would be tired and moany. If you had slightly older children or were a couple then the taxi was only 15-20 minutes into the marina if you fancied a change of scenery"

"Taj on the palm was excellent, i would stay here again. Its quiet, nice and the staff are very smiley and helpful. From the time we checked in till check out, we loved the place - the rooftop 6th floor bar was one of the highlights, amazing views of the sea & burj al arab from there. There are always taxi’s around without a wait so easy to go places. Harpreet the concierge was very nice, this chap needs a promotion & pay rise ! He was very helpful - overall great place, will stay again when i come back next year ! "

"Excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, which was particularly welcome after an overnight flight. Our room was made ready as quickly as possible and well before the advertised time. We were free to use all the facilities and take a shower etc while waiting for the room. Situated on the ‘trunk’ of the the Palm, it is directly opposite Nakheel Mall (approx 5-10 min walk) which has great retail outlets and also houses the Palm Monorail, which will connect you to the tram/metro system and get you pretty much anywhere in Dubai safely and at a lower cost. Although food/drink is relatively expensive (which is generally the same in all the hotels) there are cheaper options in the Mall which may suit a lower budget. The monorail will also take you to the top of the Palm and Atlantis Hotel, where you will find Aquaventure which is amazing (if water parks are your thing). Book online in advance to get a cheaper deal though. There are great restaurants in the hotel and Ula beach/pool bar is great, with friendly and efficient staff. The pool and private beach are great, with abundant sun loungers. The gym is great and the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. Plenty of modern equipment and great views over the complex and towards JBR. To summarise, great hotel, great facilities and friendly staff, situated in a very convenient location. I would definitely stay here again."
