Still recommend but avoid room 320
The service and the staff were great! Never an issue with them they’re always friendly and helpful. Maintenance guy is also really cool and kind. Main issue was with room 320, the main door definitely needs to be fixed. It gets stuck from the outside and very difficult to open. Didn’t even want to leave my room so as to not deal with it. The bathroom sink had issues with hot water and took several minutes to get the least bit warm. Never had an issue with hot water in other rooms I’ve stayed in. The bathroom was also missing a hair dryer which was disappointing. Maintenance guy was super awesome tho and came to bring me one which was cool. However, due to the inconveniences of the room, I wouldn’t recommend room 320. If you get that room, switch it asap trust me. Overall I would still recommend this hotel, it’s affordable and is usually a great stay for the price. Room 320 was just not comfortable. I don’t blame the staff as they probably weren’t aware and ultimately it’s management’s job to ensure the rooms are ready to go. Hopefully next time those issues are resolved. Huge thank you again to the front desk person and the maintenance staff.

People that worked there were extremely nice, area around the hotel is filled with homless right next to the police station though. Inconvenient drive as they have a median to make you turn right and go around a block to go left its annoying. Worked good for the concert but i would recommend finding a different stay 3 stars i would give it out of 5 also the continental breakfast was the standard no hot food layout just bagels and waffles, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, pastries.

The staff was wonderful, especially the incredible and gracious woman who runs the continental breakfast. She was a delight. The room was quiet, even though there is a McDonald's drive-thru next door. There were quite a few homeless people (some with some serious mental issues) in the area, but I didn't feel unsafe. The bottle refill station was a great convenience.

I liked The Staff and shuttle from the airport and to Amtrak.. i was very pleased with the complimentary breakfast. Freshly made Waffles and so many other items. Family owned and older hotel. I like to support the little guy with a great product. There are a few homeless people near by and I didn't want to go out after dark alone. I read a review that recommended not to have a room next to the Mc Donalds drive thru window. I called the day before and they made sure I was on the other side and that was quiet. I have a reservation for January 14th and I am looking forward to staying at the Governors Inn. Great rates as well. Gregg Johnson

Myra, Jolene, and Max were super efficient and helpful. Honestly everyone there was! Booked my stay for a Pokémon tournament happening in the downtown area, I didn't even know they offered a shuttle to the convention center, free of charge! (Only thought it was from-to the airport) They let me know when I was waiting for an Uber, and asked the shuttle guys to take us. Was super helpful and considerate. The only issue that they didn't have control over was poor Wi-Fi. Jolene offer us another Wi-Fi to use instead of the default one the hotel comes with and still was a poor connection. She really tried to help and loved that she did that. She instructed us to make sure we forget the previous Wi-Fi and still was not a great connection. We couldn't join the last tournament day of Pokémon due to it disconnect and reconnect issue as we needed to upload our results via Switch & Computer early times in the morning. Overall a pleasant stay and would book again.. but, with a hotspot next time. That's our own fault 😊 The area around does have a lot of homeless around but has very convenient areas like a Chervon gas station, McDonald's, and Denny's for last minute walking distance things. Breakfast was satisfactory. The staff there managing the breakfast room was so lovely, and helpful. Let them do the waffle-thingy for you! It does get messy if you do it wrong. Cleaning staff was great too! Would stay again.. but, with a hotspot. Thank you all for everything! Keep at it.
