A lot of homeless people nearby. Motorhomes parked along curb. A lot of trash on the street. Room had a weird smell.

pool and jacuzzi was ok looking the room was dirty and in need of repair smelled its under the fwy homeless rv camp across the street no street lights do not stay here.

As basic, low budget as you can get while still rating in the acceptable description. This hotel is quite old and it appears that way. It's almost a shame they have only done the bare minimum for functional upkeep. Everything about it reeks "as cheap as we can be". Don't get me wrong....I stay here without stress on a regular.... Because it's affordable most days but if I had my own car I would drive up to Carlsbad and stay at the Motel 6 "beaches" it's on average $20 cheaper and it's honestly a 2 star rating jump up in appearance, amenities...free wifi, daily coffee and tea, grocery store with in 2 blocks and less than a 1/2 miles to the sandy beach shore.....

The room was smell of smoke Staff said I booked smoking room Until I should the booking on on my phone, Then she said maybe I got the cheaper room That made no sense. There were no towels in room Very bad service
