Tried to get an early check in- waited 4 hours and at normal check in rooms magically became available. Staff was rude and spent more time gossiping than working- you see a lot sitting in a lobby for 4 hours. Room was decent but way overboard on the mini bar junk- fridge and countertop full of $11 water and $30 screw top Chardonnay. If they just acted like guests were a priority it would have been a better stay. Not into giving second chances anymore as there are too many outstanding innkeepers in the area.

They charge way more than it says on booking and they aren’t very transparent about it. A lot of fees for literally everything. Not to mention you can’t even put stuff in the fridge because they pack the fridge full of stuff that you can buy. I don’t know how much more greedier it can get than that. Also they need to be more on point with having the front desk staff in the front (which is their job) We asked earlier in the day if we would be assisted with no problem as we had an early morning flight. One of the front desk staff told us that someone would be able to assist as the hotel is “24/7” As we were checking out it took us almost 10 minutes to get a hold of a Front Desk Receptionist which isn’t very long but it’s very concerning when you have a early morning flight.

We liked the location for the hotel. It seemed like each room was just worn down. Dents in walls. Wall paper peeling, cracks in tile floors, rips and worn out material for couches and stools. Our first night we were setup with a room with balcony and nextdoor to the ice machine.. I had to beg three times for a room upgrade then we were moved to tenth floor. Nicer room but now no balcony (which was what we wanted) room service was great. Nobu was great. Room/ comfort not so great. Also staff charged me a full half night rate to extend late checkout by one hour so we didn’t stand at airport 5 hours. Also we did vip package. Balloons were were deflating and flowers died day one. Chocolate strawberries were good. Overall I don’t think the stay was near worth the price.

I really liked the hotel amd the room however I was placed in a ♿️ room tge first night. So after the first night I spoke with someone at the front desk who was really nice and she switched my room

My stay was great at Hard Rock San Diego. Fast and convenient check in, also the location and accessibility of this hotel is perfect. Had the chance to check out the gym and has everything for a workout in vacation.
