Excellent location. Surprisingly quiet despite being in the center of everything. Very clean and friendly. The room was pretty small but great otherwise. If you drive you have to park yourself in one of the nearby parking garages but that’s the case with all the hotels in the heart of the city as best I can tell. If I was just visiting SF I would have skipped the rental car and used public transit. The trolley runs right in front of the hotel.

Very nice partial view. The room felt like home and is an older hotel. It was a bit warm on the higher floor but the window opens, there is a fan in the room and a ceiling fan for accommodations. The parking is $35 in which they park your car for you. With in and out privileges. I would definitely stay again.

Loved our stay here. The staff was super friendly ! This hotel had so much charm. They even had a cute rubber duck for a bath. They served fresh cookies, coffee and tea each day. Great location in Union Square. Parking was easy across the street on corner. I would probably drop off luggage at hotel if you have plenty of bags so you don’t have to walk back to hotel with them. Wish I had more time to stay longer.

No warning that there is no A/C
I'd like to start by saying the staff was great. The room, however, had no air conditioning. My wife has trouble regulating her body temperature so this made her stay very uncomfortable. Even with the window open and the fan they provided going full power. No place on the website was this mentioned and we wouldn't have picked this location had we known. On top of all that we had to check out early and find a new hotel. Which wouldn't have been so bad, but we are unable to get a partial refund for the night we did not stay. Once again, the staff was great but the room itself was too uncomfortable

Old and Smelly, But Well Located
This hotel is in a great location. However, its a VERY old hotel. It has a strong smell and dirty, heavy air. My allergies were on full blast staying there. A fire alarm went off when I was there and it was confusing on how to evacuate. One guest fell down the exterior fire escape and needed an ambulance. The hotel does not have any amenities except a tiny (and awkward) bar in the lobby. It doesnt even have a coffee machine in the room - you have to go to the lobby to get coffee.

The hotel is in a Great location! Easy access to transit- very clean with many little extras, like fresh cookies at the reception desk, free daily coffee, a pillow menu in each room, nice linens and great service from all the staff in the hotel.

Small but Cozy
Very nice hotel. Cute (albeit tiny) room. We were supposed to have a queen bed but it seemed awfully small and a lot more like a full/double size. Liked the big closet though. Good shower. My only complaint is that you can't control the temperature in the room. Although it was winter, we were overly warm and wished we could have turned the heat down. At least the window was able to be cracked and they provided a fan, which helped. The step up into the bathroom also scared me. I was terrified one of us was going to trip and fall onto the tile floor; we are clumsy and my boyfriend was already nursing a sprained ankle. We were very careful and luckily did not trip and fall!
