Place was OK for a budget motel. Wifi does not work for streaming of any sort. Brought my firestick hoping my streaming services would work... Nope. When tried with my mobile device later, it wouldnt even "surf". Couldnt even check my email on their wifi. Had to use my providers internet. Whatever.
Elevator scared us enough off the first run that we wouldnt take it again. We weren't sure it was gonna let us go so we walked every other time.
Beds were ok. Not bad nor good. Rooms were like a 70s motel. Attempts have been made to update them, but not enough effort. The TV was small for the room. Fridge has been in there for 10 years and been abused. AC unit ran, but it wasnt cold. Could hear the people next door easily. Especially since they just screwed a amoure to the door between the rooms to prevent that.
Possitives include Mels diner and Home Plate a block or so away. Its a cheap (especially for SF) crash pad, hot showers, and its walkable to the warf and bridge IF youre willing to put in some steps. Its also far enough away that after midnight its very quiet, but loud come 8am. Not their fault.
Not a lot to do close by for night life. But good area for breakfast, and just close enough to the warf if you're willing to walk 20 minutes without too much up and down.
