Great for anyone from the PNW, if you are not, check the details
This property looks amazing in pictures. The pictures definitely make it look a lot bigger than it is. We were excited about staying in Seattle after we had such a great time in Portland. It was July and the PNW was experiencing at heat wave of sorts for their area. The Portland VRBO had a small walk AC unit that we used in the evening to cool the place prior to the cool night air coming in. I know AC is not a customary household appliance in the PNW but as a traveler from the Midwest I did assume places that take lodgers would have all the necessary accommodations. I was wrong. This small unit with 4 total windows had NO AC. That should be in bold print on the very top of the ad for this place. Yes, it isn’t listed as an accommodation but I don’t remember the last time I had to “make sure” a place for lodgers from all over the globe wouldn’t have this as even a small option.
It would be like going to Florida in December and then not having any heat. They may not need it all the time but there are occasions where it is needed and even more so with people coming to stay there from different regions of the US.
And I could’ve lived without the AC had their been proper ventilation but that was also not the case. Two windows near the ceiling in the bedroom totally cut off from the windows in the living room that are on the floor.
And the next door neighbor is fun as well.
We were greeted by a woman who was living in 30 boxes outside her own apartment next door to this unit so opening the door wasn’t an option either.
Also along our 5000 mile journey through 8 states and many hotels and rentals this was the only to require a deposit. Renters be aware that there are certain things you must look for yes even heating and water now a days I guess I should pay better attention, ugh.
