"This was a business overnight trip This place was awesome, I’d stay there again. They had no air conditioning but had sufficient fans and it was comfortable. They had no elevator but filled out requests of the ground floor due to my walking handicap. Was just like home"

"We stayed in this home for the full month of March 2025. We rated this a 10 based on our top three requirements: next to the ocean, clean, comfortable beds. This home met all three requirements. The ocean with its spectacular crashing waves, stunning views, and swimming turtles was wonderful. The sound of the waves at night along with the comfortable bed made for excellent sleeping. The home was clean and the two new area rugs were a nice update. However, as others have noted, this home would benefit from additional updates. For example, the couch is very uncomfortable. Our inquiries via email were answered promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"Staff was great. Needs a little work on the cleanliness, but they are renovating. Felt self parking wasn’t really an option cause it would be road parking and it’s a little far walk/. "

"Conveniently located inside the national park. Hiking trails along the rim are literally steps away from the inn. Was fortunate to be able to watch the Kīlauea eruption from the inn. Can’t get any better. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and as good as one can expect from a place over 170 years old. Best part is there was no television as one should be outdoors enjoying nature and the night skies. "
